Default Couple more updates...

I experienced a faulty boost controller on the tC which led to some vacuum issues. This affected my idle, spoolup, boost control, and AFRs. Sad to see such a small part make such a big difference.

Needless to say we have some updates...

With the Stage 2 system (not tuned yet):

We dragged with an AFR ranging from 10-11 depending on RPM and gear. I had the system in the car. We ran 10.5psi. I pulled an additional 2 degrees of timing because of the high temperatures at the track. It was 86 and humid out so I wanted to avoid any chance of detonation. The tires used were BF Goodrich drag radials (225/45/17) mounted on the stock Scion wheel.

The results...
With some bad wheel hop on a launch I blew the pipes off the IC which has never happened before. I think this was because of all the added stress from the constant racing we've been doing. Tightening it with the only tool I had (needle nose pliers haha) I headed back out onto the track.

The time:
RT .574 (.074 RT)
60' 2.177
330' 5.840
1/8th 8.762
MPH 84.09
1000' 11.274
1/4 13.373
MPH 107.79

Not bad results considering I took measures to keep the tune very safe .

In a few weeks I'll be racing with no ICE finally in an effort to break into the twelves with DOT approved street radials. This should prove that we're making some serious power. Keep in mind we have a full Kaminari body kit with the fiberglass wing

UPDATE 2: The boost controller.

Decided the nice shiney little MBC just isn't enough anymore. I went ahead and ordered the BRAND NEW Apexy Super AVC-R II. It's a black special edition boost controller that just came out. It lists for $650.

It has boost by gear control so I may be able so get some better traction out of the hole. Here's a quick little write-up on the traditional SAVC-R...

The Super AVC-R is the premium closed-loop electronic boost controller on the market. The AVC-R allows flexible control over virtually every aspect of boost control and adds new innovative functions such as injector pulse monitoring and gear specific boost control. Some key functions include: RPM-based boost and solenoid duty cycle control, scramble boost, self learning mode, 2D ghost map trace mode, analog display mode, real time replay and peak hold data modes. The AVC-R utilizes an ultra-fast microprocessor and a high quality solenoid valve to control boost. The result is ultra-fast response and accurate, stable boost control.

I will have pictures by thursday night of the new boost controller installed and I will list in detail all of the new features. I'm looking forward to the results as I feel this is a much needed component to get more predictable and reliable times.

Any questions, comments, or concerns please do not hesitate to ask. Paul and I are here to address anything. Thank you.

According to the tracking Joe you should have it on the 22nd. I think this will make quite a difference.

Also, the S2 has a new name.....It is called the T.E.A. upgrade.

This stands for Top End Assassin upgrade for the S1 guys.

Edit: We will also have a T.E.A. kit for 1st time buyers.
