Default My Brakes Made a Grinding Noise

Okay, let’s make this short and sweet.
Yesterday I took my car out for a spin. I was stopping at a stop sign and went over a small bump.. During the bump I felt a vibration, such as a grinding vibration in my brake pedal. I hit the brakes a bunch of times after that and all was normal, it seems to be only on the rare occasion that I hit a decent size bump while breaking. Just wondering if anybody has experienced this. My car only has 3500 miles, and I don't brake stupid fast so the pads are not worn down, I checked. Hrm.
Anyways, if nobody knows I guess its back to the dealer, but it’s going to be damn hard to show him if I can’t find a pothole / reason to stop.

Reason # 2 why I have to go to the dealer

I have 5 small spots on my hood popping w/ rust right now. I can't believe it. I've had my car for 3 1/2 months now (early may) and she hasn't even seen snow.

Today hasn't been a good day.

Completely off topic but just another question.

Those purple spacers that come with the Creative Compacts Short Throw Shifter, are they in every box? I'm just making sure because there not pictured on the CC website, and I just want to know if I have to order them separately or not.
Thanks

you could of felt the abs kicking in. I always get that huge vibration in the brake when i brake hard into a corner. Not a big deal to worry about.

you sure its rust on your hood? do you park it outside?

yea, thats definitely the ABS kicking in.

do this on a rainy or snowy day: brake as hard as you can (without hurting yourself) as you're pulling up to a light or something...you should experience the same thing.

yea its abs - it feels like your brakes are going to fall off .... i think they are over sensitive because sometimes (it seems) for no reason they switch to abs even when not braking hard. but ..yea.... no worries. Your thread title should be "Brakes make Pulsating sound" ...for future searchers.

well... he is normal ABS kicking in, but my xB doesn't seem too lucky like that... I felt the same way when i drove my xB under the normal condition and speed, pretty much everytime i try to stop I can feel that, and even worse when I break it downhill... and I recommand take back to the dealer just in case something went wrong... like me...
