Is anyone else's shifting lever as seemingly clunky/noisy as mine? It shifts gears and all quite well just seems to make more noise and be rather non-smooth feeling. Mark

 

I know just what you're saying. It's possible to shift without making noise but you have to be awfully gentle. I guess we're just hearing the plastic/nylon shifter parts hitting each other. Maybe there needs to be more insulation in the shifter area.

 

I don't know why everyone complains about this. I personally love the notchiness. I drove an older beemer the other day and it was so mushy I didn't even know what gear I was in. I guess it's just personal preference.

 

Perhaps it's because this is the first vehicle that I've pwn3d ( )with a manual transmission but it just seems like it's more mechanical/rougher than it should be. Plus mine doesn't always go in to reverse like it should. Perhaps I should take it to the dealer?Mark
