Default k-sport coilovers...

Hey, i just installs my front k-sport coilovers.. I didn't have enough time for the back, but i got a question. Every time i turn my wheel more than 90 degrees, it pops.. I've heard this on my friend's rsx, and my cousin's rsx. They both have megan racing coilovers. So, i thought that it was normal.. Plus, my alignment is wayyyy off.. Other than the fact that the coilovers didn't come with instructions, I LOVE THEM!! They are suuper stiff on the stiffest settings! Ride comfort doesn't matter that much to me, as long as i can turn at 30-40 without having to worry about tailwhipping out of control!! Pictures will be posted up after i install my rears.

You might want to check your install and look for anything thats loose or binding. You shouldnt have a POP out of the front. I know the rears on some coilovers pop but not the front.

Mine do the same thing. It isnt anything at all to worry about. Mine have done it from day one. I have talked to alot of people running K sports and they say they all do it. I drove a buddies M3 and his did it also. Mine does it on the passenger side only. It isnt hurting anything.

yeah mine pop every now and then but my has been forever. i personally like the ksports more than the tein ss-p's. i can run through some turns near my school faster than when i had the teins. plus these absorb bumps better in mid turn. i don't skip off the street haha.

Yeah! I agree with you totally.. O and I only get the popping out of the front passenger side also... One thing that sucks about these coilovers, is that you can't adjust the coilovers while they're on the car, you gotta take them off, and but the adjustment ***** on them.. sux. Plus, there aren't any clicks so I can't really match up the stiffness to the other side.. But for now, I put it on the stiffest setting.

What do you mean you have to take them off the car to adjust them? I have adjusted mine over and over and never taken them off the car at all. Are you talking height? or dampening? Maybe I could shed some light on it for you.

oo.. i was talking about the dampening... The megan racing coilovers have the ***** already built insdide the coilovers.. That way, you can just pop the hood, twist the thingy, and you're done.

Let me see if I can find a pic of the way I did mine. I dont have to take anything apart at all to adjust it.

hey, "nolimitztc" would you have any idea on how to drop the back? I changed my rears twice already.. Took me forever and is still at a 2.5 finger gap. I lowered the control arm and the spring perch, and it was 2 fingers.. I lowered the control arm some more, and it's still two fingers.. Damn. Help Please!!

Here is what I did to make sure they are the same and gave me a mesaureing point. I take a tape measure and go to the bottom of the top plate. Measure down to the spring perch. That gives you the spring measurement. That way you can make sure that both sides of the springs are the same. Then I use the bottom spring perch and measure down to the top of the lower mount. That gives you a starting measurement. Then you know if you take a inch out of the gap between the spring perch and bottom mount you have lowered the car another inch. Hopefully that helps.

i made a 5mm gap between the bottom spring perch and the top of the lower mount.. Damn, this is soooo confusing.. I dropped it sick. But, still no difference. I think I got some defective coilovers or something.
