the "break in" for the tC
for all stick shift users, do anyone know whats the mileage for the break in point is?? i think the dealers know....

some people consider the first thousand miles the break in, while others consider the first five thousand miles the break in. i would go with at least a thousand... just remember not to break in your car TOO easily, if you go with the guides. the most important thing during the break in period, from what i gathered is proper seating of the piston rings. from what i understand, these rings help to seal the cylinders from unwanted oil entering. also, with a better seal, your engine will also have more solid compression, which means better output (horsepower)
make sure to warm up your car everytime, by doing some light driving. once it is warmed up, then you can drive regularly. here is some helpful technical reading for ya:
