none of my lights have come on, but im at 16700 miles and im wondering if i should go get a maintenence check. when did everyone else get one? i checked the fluids and im ok. i thought it was supposed to come on if im low on oil or anything. well if anyone has any ideas tell me please

 

what do you mean? have you been changing your oil every 5K miles? the maintenance book the tC came with tells you what needs to be checked at what intervals and stuff

 

you should change your oil at every 5,000 miles....unless of course you drive hard and alot then i'd say every 3,500....but honestly to get everything looked over at 5,000 for sure...don't wait for the light just do it...it's better for the car...that's my recommendation.

the light is merely a mileage counter... you set it to come on at the designated interval after every oil change.

you want it to come on 5K miles after the last reset? then program it so... you want it to come on at 3K? yea.. whatever.

nothing special about the light really.. it's all a reminder. it's ultimately your responsibility to do the maintenance.
