Really annoying issue with camshaft
So i've been getting this CEL code P0010
Circuit bank and camshaft position actuator something ( i never wrote it down but its annoyingn.
Car runs fine, no hesitation, no leaks, just a CEL and now TSC. I live in syracuse so this not having traction is beggining to bother me.
I can reset the ecu but after the car is turned off and back on. it starts up again.
Anyone have ANY ideas on how to fix this/replace.
Mods
Header,exhaust,intake, UNICHIP
It was working fine for awhile and then just started up again when i blew a fuse in my tail lights and had to fix it.
It may be as simple as pulling a plug and reinstalling it. im all ears. Thanks

maybe its the actual sensor that's gone bad?? I mean if the car is running fine...? just a shot in the dark...

In all honesty I had the EXACT same issue, took my unichip off, haven't had the problem since. Take off the unichip and reset the ECU and see if it comes back. If it does then it wasn't the unichip. If it doesn't come back on then I would assume its the unichip malfunctioning

So to solve this. I just messed around for awhile. It eventually went away. no real definte fix. I had the circuit tested and it was opening fine independently. Once it went back in it would fire randomly i suppose. However now its working just fine. I had a few hour span where i had turned of TCS and it didn't like that. In the meantime i have a another one to put it in. Just incase it is the solenioid and not the chip. I've had the chip for close to 3 years now. First time i've had an issue.

However
That code is gone.
My new one is po983. Which i can find no answers anywhere.
I read some cars have it being shift solenoid but nothing scion/toyota related.
If i clear it its gone. But as soon as a shift into reverse it coems on. Even in ACC mode. I wish i wasn't so OCD about CEL otherwise i'd ignore it.

I may be terribly wrong. But those are all sensors no? Though they look different from what i bought.

No idea on the new code though.

I just ran into this same issue with my Unichip ! runing an K&N SRI, Tsudo Exhaust from headers, scuba delete and fireball axle back. I somehow assumed it was an issue with fuel because I have maps for high and low octane but when I turned my traction control off today all I got the CEL and had to take the unichip off. pulled the battery on the car and plugged the chip back in, cleared the codes and all is good now. I think the Unichip gets lost when traction control is touched. ITs that or the product just sucks. Anyways any recommendations on stand- alone ECU's that have harnesses that work well with Scion XB's ?

Have a look at OrangeVirus Tuning, https://www.ovtuned.com/ They can remap the stock ECU for better gains than the Unichip and everything stays factory.
