NF210 with 225/45/18
I have a set of 18's I am going to put on this spring and wanted to know if the thicker sidewall tires will work with my setup.
The rims are 18x8 with a 40 offset and I currently have DF210s but I am sick of the ride and wanted to switch to NFs or back to stock. The general consensus seems to be that the NFs are better than stock without being as firm as the DFs.
Through searching I found a few people have tried NF210s with 225/45/18 and I wanted to know if you are still using that setup? Do you get any rubbing when you load up the car?

I am aware of the speedometer error and don't really care. I am never the fastest driver on the road. I typically go with the flow and try to keep good spacing, I seldom look at my speedometer.
For the people who have this size tire do you think the extra sidewall was worth it? Did you have any issues with rubbing, one person mentioned in a post that they had to use a heat gun to adjust the fender liner, have others done this?

The reason I was looking into the larger sidewall tires is the roads I drive on around Chicago are very bumpy.
Are there any Chicagoans that run 225/40/18 and feel that their rims are sufficiently protected from the ridges and potholes.

The TRD 19" option uses a 235/35R19 tire which warrants about a 2.35% speedo difference. The specs on the TRD 19s are 19x8 +48. I ran them with my coils and never really had any problems until I tried adding 25mm spacers.
You should be fine even without a roll.
