Default A few Questions about the Scion XB

I will probably end up picking up a Scion XB and had some questions before I do. Hopefully I can get all the answers.

Here goes:

1.) The Strut Bar/Tie Bar Option. Is this needed and does it warrant the purchase?

2.) Fog Lights, Can I buy after market lights or do I have to get the fog-lights from Scion to buy better fog lights better?

3.) Accessories, is there a place to get the cargo Cover and the cargo net cheaper then going to Scion for it?

4.) The exhaust system, is the one from Scion good or should I find another? Any advantage for this?

5.) Cold-Air Intake. Not to sound like a noob, but what is this and what is teh advantage to get it?

6.) The Odometer/Dials. Is it possible to change the light colors and is this hard to do?

7.) The bottom floor lights, can you buy these after-market and are they hard to install?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Preface: Searchhttps://www.scionlife.com/forums/search.php

1. Matter of opinion, I'd say they're worth it, helps your suspension.
2. Wait after SEMA and you'll have more options. For now the OEM ones are the only ones available, as far as I know.
3. EBay; TRDSparks; Sullivan Brothers
4. It's an economy vehicle, but if you want to make it sound louder and gain a few horses, go for it. Look for proven dyno's and make sure the power is down low and usable. 10HP at 6k RPM? How often are you going to rev it up like that?
5. CAI for short. Concept is colder air into the engine. See above notes on proven dyno's.
6. You can change the LED's yourself or send it out to be done. Search, there are a few threads on this.
7. Search term: randode. Apparently his cathodes are cheaper and brighter than the OEM offering.

Check your dealer as well. I got my cargo cover for 20% off MSRP. This is cheaper than some on the online sites and I got it right away...

You can buy parts from a Toyota Dealer on line and pay a lot less. I got parts through Sullivan Toyota on Ebay. Had to pay shipping but no sales tax........
