I am trying to locate white rectangular leds for the halo's on my ANZO HALO Headlights. I can find every color but white. I think I need 2x5x5mm I'm not sure. they are pretty small. If anyone knows of a good place to find these please let me know.
Just so everyone knows what I'm talking about here is a pick of a colored one. I need white. the one below is green I need white.
now why do you NEED a rectangular one? im willing to bet you can use something besides that specific shape LED which would then make availability much easier for you.
superflux, the real superflux's, are the way to go for automotive applications.
Retangular because that is the bulb thats in it now. Its a pretty small area that they go in and in fact the rectagular ones get smash, as is. I'll post pic so you can see what I'm talkin bout.
I found a site : http://www.china-led-lights.com/square-led-lamp.htm but it seems to be a bulk dealer from japan. So please if anyone has or knows of a site that sells these rectangular or square led bulbs IN WHITE let me know
too small. I may have to grind them down. All I need is the light emitted in the front. The inside of the halo housing has a difuser to dispence the light. We shall see what I come up with.
Found some and got them in and I think I may have changed my mind.
I think I'm gonna try and cut a channel in the exsisting halo's to fit some sort of cold cathode. Now I just need to find the right size and length. They would be the same as those angel eye kit we see so often on the TC. except these will need to be bent to a 4" circle with a circumfrence (length) of 14" for the big one and a 3" diameter circle with a circumfrence (length) of 12". Does anyone know where I could find a cold cathose made to this size or even one close.???????
Those ones are just a straight tube I need them as I said before in a circle with a 4" and 3" diameter length of 14" and 12" to complete each circle. You know like the angel eye kits on the TC
Just take 5mm round ones, and carefully sand them down to needed shape, after this - just use some 600 / 1000grit sand paper, and some car polish - and you will be set to go ;)
