Default Stock Daytime Running Light (DRL) Install

I have a possible idea for installing stock DRLs on the tC2. I recall installing stock daytime running lights on a Toyota Sienna 2008 by simply installing a spare fuse in an empty slot on the fuse box under the hood. I've researched the topic, link provided below, and found it. My request is if any Canadian tC2 owners could post pictures of the fuse box under the hood, without the cover, so I can cross reference the fuses installed on the US and Canadian models and possibly find the missing DRL fuse. I am quite certain it should be a fuse as I don't see Toyota specifically wiring tC2's for different countries, in the same plant, as it would be expensive. Any Canadian tC2 owners, post pictures of your fuse box, or fuse box diagram, if possible. DRL's on Canadian tCs use high beams running at reduced power.

How Canadian DRLs look, fast forward to 2:51, on a this video of a Canadian tC being delivered to its owner:

That's how it works! When the tC2 first came out, there was a small amount of fuss here in the US about why we don't have DRLs or a rear window wiper.

Canadians on the other hand just want to get rid of them lol.

But seriously, I'd like to explore this option just for the heck of it. I have heard word of this before on this forum. Just adding a certain fuse will create DRLs for us. I hope we can get this to come to fruition!

OP, could you potentially change the title to "Canadians please help" or something along those lines to get more Canadian attention?

Canada by law requires DRL I wish it was just a fuse, but watch it be something else too.

I always thought that the tC 2's used a smaller bulb for the DRL's like the 1st Gen tC

No, they use the 9005 high beam bulb at a lower power as DRLs. That's how pretty much all Toyotas are.

Can someone post pic of the fuse box of US tC2 so we can compare? Uploading Canadian tC2 in a while.

I was assuming OP would upload a picture of the US version, but I'll definitely have one up within the next 24 hrs if nobody beats me to it.

Thanks biglilsteve.

Here's the fuse box of Canadian tC2.

On the first pic, I've placed a rectangle on the 4 fuses. If I read the manual correctly, those are the fuses of the Headlights and DRLs.
The second pic is just the description of the fuses.

biglilsteve, if you are missing a fourth fuse on the four highlighted fuses, then we can assume that it's our fuse to enable or disable the DRLs

I know, I know, I also have a Crimson Mica tC2....

This is great!...thanks sir!

I'll have a response in a couple hours once I get home and snap a pic.

And I was very excited to see finally another Crimson Mica driver!...not too many of us around.

EDIT: and either way, once we compare fuse boxes, I think our answer will make itself obvious to us...

Kinda surprised there is no DRL fuse, I think my parents and brothers cars have a DRL fuse.. Makes for and easy DRL disable

Edit: I guess if you were to pull the two fuses that are for the DRLs, you would also disable your highs :s

Look next to the 4 10 fuses

Missing a brown and yellow fuse on my car. Assuming rear windshield wipers + DRL?
This was before I looked at pics comparing diagrams hard for me on phone because upside down.

Someone post what they think.
