For those who don’t live in chilly climates where moose roam the roads, the moose test is a handling test that’s supposed to determine how well a car can avoid a road hazard. Earlier this year Jeep made a big stink because a magazine said their SUV failed it. Since then, it’s kind of become a recurrent point of concern for cars with a high center of gravity.

But what about the FR-S? They’re sure to be screaming through moose/bear/dog/squirrel infested back roads as well. So maybe this is a cautionary tale. If you’re going drifting through the woods and run into a moose… Well, you better hope it’s styrofoam.
