Default 2006 Civic recall

I found this on consumerreports.com

'06 Honda Civic

Accelerator pedal could come loose and cause throttle to become stuck. If that happens, vehicle might not decelerate as expected, possibly resulting in a crash.

Vehicles: 25,298 cars.

What to do: Have dealer reset the pedal or replace the entire pedal assembly. For information, call Honda at 800-999-1009.

what do you expect? its a brand new design... im not sure if Honda replaced the pedal assembly, and im really not sure why the problem is occuring. If anything, you would have thought that a car that has been out for so long and sells so well would have had a little bit more R and D done
