Default 67 Mustang What to do

So my dad recently gave me a 67 Mustang that was my moms car, it was hit by a drunk driver in 74 and has been sitting in a garage since. So it has body damage and the front left wheel is bent up. It is a 6cyl auto which we just started up the other day (my dad fogged out the motor) with 66000 miles on it. I'm not sure what to do with it sell it, fix it or fix and put a 460 bored to 510 Ford crate motor my uncle offered me in and make it a drag car. I don't know what it would be worth just selling as is.

well i know if it were me i wouldnt sell it, as far as what to do with it,well have you looked into what it would be worth restored to original? and if your really wanting to get into drag racing this would be a good first drag car with that kind of horsepewer, and if you do that i would sell every last piece of the car that your not going to use.that would be a fun car for taking to the track on weekend and such.have fun man!!
whatcha want outta the radio and the 4 heater control *****?? jk jk..

The choice is obvious...keep it man! It's your mom's car. I'd try to rebuild it back to stock, but maybe drop in a V-8 for that extra "go"...
Take your time building it up, no rush!

v-8 just means you need a new front and rear suspension to take all that new power

^ Or I could drop a skyline motor in it like Tokyo Drift I think if I do fix it I'll just throw the Big Block Crate motor in it.

Keep it an restore it!!! It's a Ford Mustang.....Very easy to find parts to restore it. There's a place in Queens, I think it's still there, that's a huge warehouse that sells nothing but old Ford parts. You can really make that car a nice street muscle car with alil time and money, espcially since you had the car handed to you...so more money for parts n whatnot.

510 crate is aloooooooooooooot of motor for that car. you would have to do a complete overhaul on the frame and suspension to re enforce it....stick to a early 302 fuel injected 5.0

i'd keep it, it looks like it is in very servicible condition. ripe for restoration. but make it a nice weekend car. good engine/transmision, and some sporty suspension, and a nice sound system. and a good paint job.

Rat Rod.... Don't make me get the squirt bottle. That's just plain wrong.

If the front subframe is messed up and needs to be replaced I'd say go with an aftermarket unit and than do the Big Block. Remember, the first Mustangs were just redone Falcons so a big engine will be hard to wedge in there and the chassis will need to be beefed up to handle it. Those front shock towers really mess things up, and make it hard to wedge in a Big Block....especially headers.

A really nice small block will be just as good for the street and strip, alot easier to get in there, and you can still make big power for the cheap.

Just my 2cents.
