I need a transmission service for my chicks 2006 Magnum V6. I have been quoted $189. I want to see if anyone can beat that??

 

what kind of transmission service??? like an oil change?

 

yea, a fluid and filter change and a reverse flush.

 

just do a fluid and filter and maybe adjust the bands and thats bout it


flush isn't needed how do they expect to flush out the torque converter...

 

Idk. Never worked on that trans. My buddy said he would need to do a reverse flush for a full service.

Whatever you do CHANGE IT, DO NOT FLUSH IT!!!!!

Change it = drop the pan and drain it

When you flush the transmission, all the bits and pieces (from wear over the years) go all over the place/into gears etc.

Although I've done the flush ONCE, I was lucky and it didn't effect anything....but I also know few horror stories after flushes.

Rule of thumb, I just change it, no more flushes.
