Default Corvette ZR1 owns ALL!!!!

7.26.4 around the Nurburging Nordschleife. Fastest production car around the ring. Ever. Therefore it's the greatest car ever made. The ZR1 owned the GTR and VSpec GTR.

You don't know if it's owned the SpecV yet... it hasn't even posted a time. They just released specs today. Shed 200 lbs and added 40 hp more. But almost double the price of the normal GTR.

There is no true official time since there is speculation that the claimed 7:29 was a 693hp version of the GTR. Especially since one of the official track times was 7:47 which was done by a professional Ferrari driver, on stock boost and stock tires.

Oh and your opinion doesn't matter.

But that's not an opinion... that's fact.

Where's the proof? They say they did 7:25, but there is no proof. The ZR1 has video evidence that an engineer is capable of taking the car around the track at world record setting times.

Also, so far all the numbers for the GTR have been total lies. Nissan says it has 480hp, when in reality, it has over 550hp.

Ya, Top Gear said that's b/c each one is hand built and each of them are going to be different. Don't know how much truth there is to that.

Yeah, but that still doesn't negate the fact that the ZR1 holds the world record time for the Ring, and has actual proof that it was a production model and driven by an engineer.

the guy that drove the ZR1 is a serious driver. Various SCCA titles and some pro experience.

im not sure if could spend that much money on a corvette. I feel the Z06 is a hell of a bargain and it has all the right stuff. rwd. manual trans etc. but at $100k im not sure. there are alot of cars for 100k. I do wish i had to make the choose on what to speed 100k on...

but it sure does sound good!

That vette is mega fast and sounds absolutely awesome....I would by the Z06 though and maybe mod some things...

GTR has 4 wheel drive (snow and slick road capable) and a back seat for people in a pinch or groceries, etc....

...and a lot of magazines and tuners are saying than an EVO is just as fast or possibly faster than even the GTR with some mods and still costs a lot less (even with these mods) so as cool as everything is..

EVO with mods has everything I need (not saying it is the best-just what I would do)-4 doors, 4 seats, trunk, 4 wheel drive, really fast and handles amazingly well.....maybe the STi woud work too and it has a wagon profile now for even more room...

Cool vette though-wish they would have showed the outside.

^^^ actually not. the z06 and zr1 i'm assuming use the magnetic levitation suspension.

zr1 is definitely fast around the ring for sure. but don't be an a-hole about it.

and research your rant facts before posting them and claiming the world with them. you have some facts wrong sir. or should i say opinions.

It uses the leaf springs for added anti-roll, it's not the primary source of support. It still uses a double wishbone in the front and rear.

The ZR1's suspension will be much the same as in other Corvettes, but will feature thicker front and rear stabilizer bars and springs that will be slightly softer than those of the Z06. GM's Magnetic Selective Ride Control (MSRC) will be standard. MSRC is a real-time damping system that uses electronically controlled shocks filled with a fluid containing minute iron particles. When subjected to a magnetic charge, the iron particles align to provide varying degrees of damping resistance.
