It sure didn't...but then again, magazine stuff are only an assistance in providing some information. The real way to do a comparison is to drive the cars yourself, since everybody has different standards.

I think its a good article
Wow. I wouldn't have guess that to be the outcome at all. I'll have to read the article and see why they came to those conclusions. Should be interesting.

STi: 3351 lbs, 300 hp, 300 tq, $32,995 (2nd wow)
WRX: 3192 lbs, 230 hp, 235 tq, $24,995 (my choice. cheap, fast, practical)
Legacy 2.5 GT: 3365 lbs, 250 hp, 250 tq, $28,795 (non too fast)
BMW 330xi: 3627 lbs, 255 hp, 220 tq, $38,500 (EXPENSIVE, slow porker)
G35X: 3650 lbs, 298 hp, 260 tq, $33,100 (quicker porker)

Read in a car mag that they said drive'n the Mazdaspeed6 was disappointing cause its so heavy.

Lets get some facts straight there......the G35X only comes in Automatic which is 280Hp...to get the 298hp, you need to get the RWD with 6-speed manual.

No comparing the EVO or WRX but STI is ok??
MS3 will fall behind the WRX and EVO just as well as the MS6 does.
The M3 costs even more than the 330xi and is RWD only.
Why mention the Gallant VR4 if it isn't in production?
The MS6's torque isn't 8 shy of the G35X, its 20 over.
Ok, I also stated they better compare performance wise as well because of the Mazdaspeed6's size and weight in ratio to its performance. The Mazdaspeed6 is a sporty midsized sedan, get over it.

Btw, you should check out the luxury option and pricing between the highest packaged MS6, Infiniti G35 and Jaguar X Type they are not drastically different. And if the Mazda3 was fitted with the same type of tranny as well as turbocharge and intercooler as the Mazdaspeed6 it won't get so easily blown away.
