Default Just got back from the Chevrolet dealership

I just test drove the Chevrolet Cobalt SS Supercharged...wow that thing has some power...really nice. I was there for 3 hours and they said they would bring the price Out-the-Door for $20,000 for the Cobalt SS non-Supercharged...is that good?

The Cobalt looks good and cost around the same as a Supercharged Scion tC...what do you guys think?

someones gotta say it.... but your askin people on a tC forum what would they pick so its gonna be a little bias.

i thought about the colbalt (after i baught my tC lol) and i liked it untill i sat in it. the rear has NO room, and there really isnt anything too special about it. and for the money i would get the SC tC only cuz you kno it will last longer (under normal driving situations ie not beating the living crap outta it lol) plus you get good warrenties with the tC. and its plain ol sexy. i think the cobalt looks like a snotty cavalier lol. just my 2 cents.

I agree with Hotbox, don't do it. You can get other cars that close to the Cobalt for less. Oh, and any sales guy/woman/person that tells you that you can get a non supercharged car with nothing special in it either a) takes you for a fool b) wants to take you for everything you have or c) both A and B

Yeah my dad said that chevrolet cars don't last that long and there are usually something that goes wrong with their brand of cars. The engine bay leaks and the engine won't last as long as toyota's engines.

I like the look of the Cobalt, but $20,000 for the non-Supercharged SS is too much...I'm just going to get the Scion tC and supercharge it in the future...Also, the Cobalt SS Supercharged comes to 105 HP while the Scion tC Supercharged only comes under 200 HP...that is kinda weak on Scion's part.

YES go buy a cavalier, no matter what they call it is a damn cavalier.
i have had chevy's and i would never own another one.......
there sunroofs suck, they have suspension problems, interior fit and finnish issues, thier stereos suck you could get a better set up at radio shack.
but its your money.........go drop 20k on a POS cavalier.

I'm not buying a Cobalt SS...I'm just saying that it looks good...thats it. Not good enough for me to want to buy. Then I just compared it with the Scion...I know Scion is much better in every aspect.

Just remember this:

the main problems with domestic cars aren't their engines , I mean sure they may only last 200k , but that's still a lot. their problems are interior , fit and finish , and any accessory.
