Default Mac Or Pc

So I am transferring colleges and going away from home after a year of community college (which sucked)

I am playing hockey for a private Methodist college called Adrian College in Adrian Michigan.

So as the title states...

I have a PC desktop right now but have been checking out MACS and there pretty cool...

pretty much im gonna be doin the usual. TONS of music, pics, typin papers, internet the usual college deal.

just wonderin what you all think or recommend?

Thanks!

Depends on you. I like the versatility of a laptop.

definitely go mac! I love my macbook. The main con of the macs are the lack of games available and the poor ability of them to play the available games. Other than that I've had little to no issues with my macbook and i beat the crap out of that thing!

why would he need a Macbook Pro to take anywhere when a regular Macbook will suffice for what he does...

biggest mistake you can get is get a Macbook Pro (I have one), if your gonna go with a Mac get the 1599 model and call it a day, it's just as fast as my Macbook Pro and for a lower price.

^ very true. I got the regular macbook when I bought mine. Looking at the specs between the 2 the only significant difference is the screen. Other than that there really is not reason to go with the Pro.

I kinda wish I was able to wait a year when the current ones came out..I love the new ones!

well what i like about the new one is the fact that its stainless steel and uses the same kinda interface as the iphone/itouch

otherwise I love my macbook

best purchase i ever made..it was either the macbook or rotas and I'm glad I went with the macbook haha

I switched to Macs about a year ago and haven't looked back. I still use a PC on a daily basis for work (Dell laptop) and I wish I could be using my Mac for work.

For what you're intending on using it for, Mac > PC, hands down.

Mac without a doubt. Hell not dealing with viruses alone throws macs way ahead. Just looking as windows gives me the hives.
