"As a past Supra owner and still enthusiast, I wanna cry to what they are doing to the tradition of the Supra. They are almost keeping nothing except for the name. Maybe I'll warm up to it if it ever does come out and actually get to experience it. Maybe I'm too much of a traditionalist (if that's a word) but I think they should carry over something more than the name."

I really agree with you on this, I once had a supra too. I loved how it had a powerhouse motor out of something kinda light. It was fun to drive, even if it was a MKIII. Still one of the best I have driven. Now it will probably fallow the path of the GTR, be too expensive, and out of everyones reach, with nothing to fallow the supra tradition.

BTW, I love those Lexus pic. *drools* I have never seen them, they are teh sex!

well, since we're talkin tradition, let's take a moment of silence for the one that started it all. I've seen two in person and they are cool cars

the most expensive of it's kind. rumored to be only two in the world

The MKIV TT supra was about as much as a corvette when it first came out, and if the previous GTR's were sold here I'm sure the price would be even higher than the supras..I think the MKIV TT was like $45K-$50k+..i don't remember..

But yeah..I'd say even back then it was still out of a lot of peoples reach..unless you consider $45k and up cheap..

not to mention TT supras now still go as high as $30k+

The upper pipes are actually diffusers for turbulence.

There is a coupe in the works at Lexus as well.

lexus needs a coupe. every car company should have like a coupe, a sedan, a crazy fuel efficient, truck, and cross-over/suv......and sometimes the sporty powerhouse in addition to the core five, if not an option to the others...

we're almost there...sorta. tc coupe, xA xB and the xD are like the cross-over/suv types. rumored(or confirmed, but cant believe a lot of what you read these days) iQ the crazy fuel efficient. need that rumored xP and a sedan and offer something affordable and quality for every market of car buyers...

Are you kidding me? Viewing it in a new tab or window does NOT help resize the image on the actual page. Hot linking is also a no-no Upload that photo to photobucket and it'll resize it for you.

Toyota needs to come out with a sports car badly. Think they'd make the supra but put it under the Lexus name instead of Toyota? It would definitely be in a higher price bracket than any Toyota for sale right now so it would sorta make sense to sell it under Lexus.

Do you have a newer version of Mozilla? I have the latest Mozilla but the two version dates before this one also did it. I have Windows Vista also, but too my knowledge its Mozilla. I don't believe Internet Explorer resize them for me. I right click extra large images, click view image which puts it in its own tab, then it sizes it to fit the screen. moving the mouse over the image then, the pointer is a magnifying glass, and if i click it it becomes 100% once again. I can click back and forth between 100% and the "zoom-to-fit" smaller image with the pointer. Don't tell me what my computer will and won't do. It fits the image to my window when I do this. Always has for as long as I've had Mozilla. NOT kidding. mkah? mkah.

Proof for youuuu. Be sure to check out my pointer (magnifying glass) and the text at the top of the window. "Scaled (53%)"

Ok?

I apologize for the also large pic, I wanted to make sure you could clearly see the text and pointer.

***EDIT: Frick! Print screen doesn't capture my pointer.

Check out the automatic on the Type F, the 8-Speed direct-shift with sport mode for the electronics and shifting in 0.1 seconds. Who could shift a manual that quickly?

There's a coupe AND a convertible coming.

Lexus files trademarks for IS Coupe

The IS coupe/convertible IS supposed to have the entire engine range (including the V8 from the IS-F) so I think I'll be okay, but that roof has got to be heavy so I'm thinking it'll be similar to the M3 convertible. Also, from looking at other pics, that rear end makes the wheels look soooo small and the back look soooo fat! HAHA!

we can argue about how fast the sissy shifters shift, they are still sissy shifters. Clutch please!
i mean think about it. most cars have the automatic feature whick most likely be o the Lexus stuff anyway as no 60 year busuness man in his "Supra" is gonna constantly paddle shift from every stop light. just put it in "D"
