Its just amazing how low 1990s Supras are being on sale for If they say this low in two years; I might just say the hell with a Lexus and get a collector Supra. Throw on collector plates & drive it few miles a year.

This is a pretty nieve statement. The fastest supras are going to be autos. A built/hi-stalled auto will shift faster and be faster then the 6 speed.

but, a manual tranny is much more fun to drive.


Just for your information man, you can get a Auto tt supra for less then 20k now. ive seen them on sale from anywhere between 17-20k. you can get a 6 speed supra now adays for around 25k-30k in good shape.

 

what state lets you put collector plates on late model cars instead of just classics.

been looking locally myself for a few of these too! VERY hard to find one with decent miles and price that hasn't been rapped already. I would pass due to it being auto. Not hating on the autos at all just not my preference.

 

u can get an automatic, non turbo, with high miles for like 10K, then just do a motor build w/ large single turbo and manual trans.
done.

 

I've been looking ALOT into an MK3 (89-93) 7M-GTE supra. Much more cost effective. Build + T4 = whoa buddy

 

depends if you're in a smog state or not. that and the price ends up being a bit much as much more than just engine trans and turbo's change.

 

That is a good deal for a Supra with less than 50k miles, regardless of if it is auto, or not. It's just begging for a huge single.

 

Why spend an arm and a leg for a MK4 supra when you can spend a few thousand on an SC300, and either go na-t, or 2jzgte swap?

 

Because just driving that car will get you laid!!
