the problem i can see is that toyota would compete aganist itself if scion comes out with a minivan. yeah it looks dead on and all but the idea imo would be a small 1.8 or 2.0 car with a small turbo. just enough turbo to make at least 220FT-LBS. the nissan pick up would be a great target for the youth group (most of us anyway)

last i read is that the nissan 4X2 started with the blower around 23.

i dunno i voted for a weird car/ truck thingy

I can't see it being an SUV or a minivan, simply because, historically, that class is 20k+. I doubt Scion would come out with a car in the 18-20k starting MSRP range.

I am leaning towards this car being a Sedan. It seems that it would be "Logical" if you want to call it that to bring that style of vehicle into the market. Ofcourse it would follow Scion's pure pricing and affordability standards. Although the Scion Brand is a "Younger Generation" car keep in mind that there are many "Young" people that have families and really do not want to have either a "Box" an "Egg" nor a "2Fast2Furious...LOL (TC)" car....

Just my 2 cents....

PS: I am not flaming the TC...just couldn't come up with a nickname for the TC....lol..

I totally agree.. a Scion roadster that could outperform/nearperform the $25k 138hp MR2 Spyder for around $20k? IMHO, it's a definite possibility... Ooo.. what if it was an MR configuration, too? ;) *yeah, right*

Also, I don't think a sedan would make sense... Toyota seems to be doing well with the Corolla...

Actually, I managed to get ahold of one of the new Scion dL SUVs! How awesome -- would have never suspected Scion to make something this large!

If it follows the previous models' formula, expect the dL to be a slightly tweaked version of an existing toyota model not sold in the US market.

Perhaps it will be the Echo Hatchback and enter into the US only under the Scion tag.
