Ok, ok-so you get some of the imported beer and some of the hot chicks-unless the other guy has a modded GTi......

haha WA sucks ***** for traffic tickets man.... I got pulled over by a pierce county sheriff in DuPont, a little town south of Tacoma, and given a ticket for doing 38 in a 35 went to pierce cnty court and the judge made me pay the ticket, but reduced it after pleading no contest and that was for 3 lousy mph over the limit... so that whole 5mph over myth, its not necessarily true.... by law anything over the speed LIMIT, even if its just one mph over is technically illegal, however its up to the discretion of the officer to give u a ticket or not, and that came from the judge cause I tried to use that while 5 mph deal... haha but then here in TX they let me get away with 52 in a 35 lol... so again its up to the officer

 

It could be modded. Wouldn't bother me any...

Again, would need to be modded. I aint saying I'm the fastest (know that for sure), but I ain't the slowest either. Stock GTI's don't walk on Stock Evo's, I have and even modded ones.

Actually that is a serious thing put in a non-serious way-basically any two cars with similar performance expectations are limited and enhanced by the driver. I have seen an RSX-s taken out by a slightly modded 79 rabbit due to the driver (200hp vs 87)

I have seen an EVO beaten by a guy in ratted out mid-80s civic-the guy in the evo screwed the start even with 4 wheel drive.

There are too many variables, the GTi is a faster car standard but that really wouldn't make a cut and dried street decision.

 

i raced a GTI from a 70mph roll. we were door to door than i pulled 1/2 a car and at 125 mph, he flew like a bat passed me. for you mothers against drunk and street racers, we'll say it was in a closed course with professional drivers

i've seen a wot box gti RAPE a dsg gti with same mods

 

nah hes a good driver...he went 14.1 ina stock 96 vr6....but yea he was completely stock when i ran him.....and ofcourse a wot box manual will beat a dsg...

 

i still put it on the driver.

 

One more chime in I'd say the TC if he had LSD but the GTI will have a better chance at launching compared to the TC. Let us know the results.

 

wut about a stick tC w/ a 75 shot vs a GTI

 

Thats not stock for stock so the tc would have the upper hand but a gti with a turbo back exhaust, intake and tune would demolish a tc with a 75 shot.


doesn't matter if the tc gets an lsd, the gti traction control and the control over turning it on and off still has an advantage over the tc.
