You started at point A, where both vehicles were traveling 80 MPH. You finished at point B, where the trailing vehicle either overtook the originally leading vehicle, or the trailing vehicle stayed on the leading vehicle during the whole duration of the race. Since you said you lost, I'll assume that the GTI over took you.
Whether you want to believe it or not, you condoned in street racing, something that is heavily frowned upon on these boards. Something that is giving Scions a bad reputation. It's because of people like you, who feel the need to flaunt your 160hp of FWD 4CYL fury. I personally feel that it is reasonable to make fun of your vehicle, if you're going to take part in making a community look bad.

aiight guys let this go... the tread was supposed to be about what will win on a track, and now just cause someone tries to pull away from a tailgater and the tailgater followed and passed up, everyones attacking and taking sides... seriously EVERYONE needs to grow up and has to drop this already... as the saying goes, fighting over the internet is like playin in the special olympics, even if you win ur still retarded... and hey i joke around about power add stickers, each one of my stickers adds 5 HP hahahhaa.... but back to the original topic, the GTI would win, before i bought my tC i was lookin at a GTI, stupid VW makes it too expensive tho, but IMO it seems to be quicker than a S/C tC

every person drives a different way, what kind of car they have doesnt mean they will respond to a situation in a certian way... those bustin on 1HOVAFAN give it up already, it was originally him getting a tailgater off of him, ok so he decided to downshift and try to get away from him, BIG EFFIN DEAL!!! just drop it, i know tons of ppl who would've made the same move and i know others that would've moved over and those aren't just tC owners... i would've stayed and if after a while he wouldn't have moved then i would've moved over... let the guy drive the way he drives, let the stickers add HP haha jk... his decision to do what he did was based on his judgement, if you dont agree with it, well oh fuccin well, you werent the one driving and you weren't there... so just give it up already

yea your right, it is illegal... do you always go the speed limit? 1mph over is illegal... do you always come to a complete stop at an empty 4 way stop intersection?? i know i dont... he said he was already doing 80 at the begining... now i've only seen few places where the spd limit is 80 to begin with so at that point its illegal... it is his choice, now if he were to get pulled over, thats a consequence he faces for that choice... i dont know many drivers who ALWAYS obey the traffic laws, and if its up to the laws then alot of us do illegal things....

There is a HUGE difference. I am not coming into a web forum and claiming going one mile an hour over the limit is legal and defending it. Turning this against what it is is dumb. If I was claiming or boasting then yes, my actions would be a factor, but they arent!!! You claimed he was doing nothing wrong, he claimed it as well, like I have stated before, I very very rarely state my opinion, just facts, and the facts are HE WAS DOING AN ILLEGAL ACT.
And street racing in no way shape or form compares to driving 1 mile an hour over the speed limit, while I do agree both are illegal!!!
And you already have become part of the argument, but I will say you (and the way I try to do it) have kept it a debate, not an argument. Name calling is an argument, false claims, accusations, is an argument. Stating facts, laws, traffic situations, WITH OUT NAME CALLING, is a debate!!
