Anybody else autox their tC?
Just wanted to see how many people here have had a chance to autox their tC and what class did you race in?
What kind of results did you have?
I'll be running in HS for most of or all of this season. HS is pretty restrictive as far as mods go. I'm going with Motegi Track_Lite 17X7 (14lbs ea) with Kumho race rubber and a cat back exhaust. I could upgrade shocks but not springs and go with a different drop-in air filter element , but I can't do much else and stay legal.

I took my RS1 to a couple events last year. I ran in HS and did pretty well—3rd out of 6 and 3rd of 9. The only cars that beat me were Minis, go figure.
I haven't decided whether I'll go to STS and do COs or just swap the shocks and stick to HS.
Besides the mods you already mentioned, you can upgrade your brake fluid and pads and stay in stock.

Mini's are poop in HS. There are many people that think that if the tC is setup correctly (ie. camber, toe-in, tire psi...) that it can compete with the Mini. I hope to have the time to sort out the alignment I was kind of hoping somebody might have been experimenting already.
I think the tC has a real chance of being competitive on a longer faster autox course. The Mini will more than likely own on a tight slow course. Can't wait to see.

I am considering running this year. But unfortunatly I wont be able to run HS because of my mods. And I will be put in a class where the tC wont compete. It will be fun, but probably not competetive as I get my butt handed to me.
(my dad runs a SVT contour up in Pa. Minis rule up there)

There is a Mini-S in my region that always spanks everyone - like FTD and everything. I think he runs GS though. Unfortunately I did springs and am no in STS... but I should have a little more of a chance after swaybars and some decent tires.

Than, I was only running at a reginal level, and I wasn't competing for points so the RSB might have been overlooked
. If you're intending on running the full season or going to district/national (fat chance with a tC) then make sure your regional stewards know what's on the car and confirm what class you should run in. I'm leaning more towards STS right now...and taking my wife's Integra into GS for a few events.
