attn: those of you who race on public roads
that excessive speed makes bigger messes. well, to follow that rationale, there should be no motor vehicles permitted on public roads *anywhere* (think a federal BAN) that are capable of speeds greater than say, double the fastest human running speed of about 25mph... you know what that means. no more cars with more than 50hp, with full ECU governors to make *absolutely* sure you don't speed. This would also require the TOTAL AND COMPLETE outlawing of ALL non-OEM vehicle modifications that increase a vehicle's performance potential. no more aftermarket turbos or superchargers, no more suspension upgrades, no more CHOICE in the matter - and by extension no more (or at least greatly reduced) government revenues from tickets lol. we might as well all ride bicycles like just about everyone who lives in North Korea.
I am sorry for jumping into this post like this - especially as a first time, as I have been a lurker on these boards since just before I got my tc 9 months ago. It just seems to me that the logical extension of all the 'dont speed' rhetoric is that if it *can* do more than the speed limit (whatever arbitrary speed that may be), it shouldn't be allowed on public roads PERIOD. Sounds like that thinking would do far more harm than good doesn't it?
