First time at the track

Default First time at the track

Yesterday was my first time at the track. I posted my slip below...what do you guys think of the time? I only have a Injen Intake and im a 5spd (TWM Stg2)...

The car in the other lane was a mustang gt

My time is on the right

Not bad, work on bring that 60 foot time down to like 2.0-2.1, and you will see that ET drop. Don't dump the clutch, you will get nothing but wheel spin.


PS....Was that a New Mustang GT? If so, that time sucks.

I slipped the clutch, I forgot to add I had a passenger (180lbs) and full tank of gas

It was not the latest gen mustang, it was the one before it.

Practice Practice Practice is what i need...thanks for the reply though

decent reaction time!

The time depends a lot on the driver. I've seen a mustang GT convert get almost a 20 sec 1/4 mi (lose to my '56 Ford with mostly stock motor)

Before I take my xA to the strip, I need to get the launch right...

darn. when i first read the title, i thought you went tracking the car. turns out you went to a dragstrip
