Default IS300 VS. tC 5spd!

I went at a "rich peeps" area to get some good sushi and I was at a 60MPH zone, I was going 50.

Then a car at the rear flashed his HIDs High beam at me while revving it, he got ahead (I noticed it was an indigo IS300 so I made my move and after a few seconds we got at the light...

So, I rolled down my driver side window and the driver asked me if he could race me, he is a white boi about 21 so I said alright he got a stick and a good sounding exhaust.

Light turned green and he got ahead a bit until I hit 2nd then I got ahead by a finger length, 3rd was a goodie and got him by half an IS length. I won that run.

2nd run is also good, I got him doing a fast launch since the road is a bit rough and he kinda missed a shift, so I got him every gear and got ahead by 1 length at 80MPH.

Last race is awesome! I did the same thing, but this time the IS did a burnout so his launch is awesome, he got me by 2- 3/12 lengths since he launched

I guess it's almost always the driver to win a race than the car. It's the driver who has more experience driving stick is the winner most of the time...

Is it possible for a 5spd tC with STS and stage4 clutch to get ahead a little with the IS300?

the is300 and a stock tC are actually pretty close in a straightline... iirc the tC 5spd runs upper 15's stock and the IS300 runs mid/low 15's.

yup it usually comes down to the driver... but in drag it does somewhat depend on the car...because the car needs power. however, you can have a fast car...but if you dont know how to drive it doesnt do you any good. drag is usually based on cars power and of course the driver... autox is pretty much based on the driver...track is a balance of both...

as far as it being possible for a 5pd tc with STS and stage 4 clutch to get ahead a little bit with an IS...to be honest im not exactly sure...i dont really do drag anymore..hell i never really did... i did once in my tc against my friends IS...i did lose... but we were neck and neck the whole time... but we were automagics...and we were both stock... so i dont know thats a whole different story...
