yes, I know, I can't launch worth a sh*t. I'm installing my ingall's stiffy tommorow afternoon and going back friday night, hopefully the dampener can help me get off the line.

 

That's pretty bad. What kind of 18" rims do you have? Are they really heavy. Try the stock rims in front.

 

 

I just have a bad 60' time. The whole launching thing killed me. I don't normally do launches, so the let off the clutch and give gas at the same time is pretty new to me. I bogged most of the launches so...

It was fun though :D

 

Your trap speed is slow. You should hit at least 90mph. It could be the heat or it could be your 18" rims.

That's alot of mods to run a worse time then a stock tC.

With a 2.5x 60' I can tell you aren't slipping the clutch.. You're either spinning too much or just bogging off the line.

my problem is bogging off the line. Test n tune got rained out this evening, but i'm going tommorow night. I'll letcha know what i run then.

you got owned by a gs-t , i spank 1 with and he was boosting 16psi Tips... let the clutch go halfway when it just about to take off and hold it and rev up to 2200rpm when the lights turn green let go the clutch and step on the gas and power shift put your tire at 22psi so you wont stay spininnglol good luck

 

friday got rained out, i went down again on saturday.

the best run was a 15.397 @ 88.33 w/ a 2.246 60'.

 

Need to practice feathering the clutch.

 

wednesday will be only the fourth time i've ever gone and raced at a drag strip guys, only the third with a manual. I don't jump off of lights all too often, so i'm still new to the whole let's get off the line quick thing. don't rag on me too much

well, i got the ingall's stiffy installed, and i dropped from 35 psi to 25 psi in the tires, best run was a 15.322 @ 90.08 w/ a 2.3XX (can't remember) 60' on another run i did get a 2.247 60', so my times can still improve. hell, the car feels like it might be able to pull a 2.1, or maybe even a 2.0 60.

 

Yeah, keep at it. You can only get better and better.

I think it was the track, I know that saturday the track was crap.
