Default Mustang v. TC

So my buddy buys an 05 mustang v6, 5sp ,this weekend. It weighs 3400 lbs and has 210 HP and 240 foot lbs of torque. It goes from 0-60 in 7 secs. (fly by wire)and tops out at 113. (speed limiter) and has traction control. Now, I think I can take him. what do ya think??? (we are both cops so we should be able to race with no problem.)
Mines a 5 sp as well.

I didnt exactly race a mustang but this crazy chick cutt me off while i was driving to school and got me mad. I started driving fast behind her, tailgated her, ____ed her off, and i managed to stay on her ___ the whole time. She was probaby driving an automatic and i had one passenger.

If you do race, try to do so from a roll.

Hmmm... well I 'm gonna give it a try next time I'm back in NY. I think I'm better behind the wheel too. I figure he may have an advantge with more torque but I've had mine up too the limit @ 127 and if he can only go to 113 I should have him...ya think???

Not one of the new ones... not even close with the cavy, especially auto. No offense, but I know plenty of people with modified cavys out there, and I know for a fact how fast they are.

I also happen to have a friend with the new v6. If you are a better driver you may win, but it will still be close. Drivers being equal the mustang will get you. It is still amazing how close it is between the two cars though.

If you do it, do it on a track.

hmm, interesting timing....this morning on the way to work, I had the opporunity to "deal" with a new Mustang. Now my tC is stock, and I am no racer, but I have to say, as hard as the driver of this Mustang tried to beat me in the traffic, I won my a long shot, as my skill is manuevering and anticipating the best place to be.

If we had been in a clear straightaway, I have no doubt that Mustang would have kicked my a**. edit...Especially since I don't race, ever.

Yes, and if I was a cop, I wouldn't put the fact that I race on a website. If it ever got traced back to you, you could be in some deep do do.

Uh, yeah... as far as being a "fake cop"...give me your plate # and tell me when and where you are going to be in VA. (Clarke Co.) and I'll look you up, OK??

Also as far as me putting that I race on the net...I never said it was on a public street. I do have access to the department track just as I do for the gun range.
And its no secret that I speed...I get pulled over at least twice a month. But then I have "Master Badge". I havent had a ticket since 1976...when I got out of my first academy. (Seems to me there might be some jealousy in that regard) Oh well...gotta love professional courtesy.

When I drove his car I noticed that there was some hesitation with the drive by wire arrangement. Also, even with all the electronic controls it fish tales badly if the road is even a little wet. I forgot to mention that the V6 comes with crappy tires too (imo)
