Default Track Times With FI tC

Anyone have any time slips (1/4 or 1/8th) for a turbo'ed tC?

It seems like there are plently of FI tC's on this board but not many time slips to go along. Most of ones I have seen are more concerned with dyno numbers than track times.

The main reason I'm wondering is because I'd like to go FI but I really don't think it's worth close to $6,000 (turbo kit, install, and clutch) if the car is running in the 13s.. I want something in the 12s for that much money.

Yah it is pretty strange that not many people running FI are posting slips. Once fall hits im going to be hitting the track quite often. But for now Im just going to start hitting the track every few weeks just to get the launch down so when it cools off I'll be able to pull some decent times.

I really dont forsee myself being able to run 12's even with DR's at the stock level psi on the turbonetics kit. Im planning on getting it tuned for a higher psi but it just hasnt happened yet.

Here is an idea for you....Turn Up The Boost!...

MikeScion posted his time a while back. ZPI Stage 1... 12.7 @ 106 I think it was.

Exactly, because they don't have any . They post times that they say they ran, and never back it up with video or paper proof Only people that have posted proof of times know who they are.

I'll don't usually say when I am about to do something, instead I just wait till I have already done it to post up results. But, I'll make an exception. The new Stage 3 is holding in good, so I think I'm going to hit up the 1/8th track this Friday. The season is getting close to an end for the local 1/8th track here. I reckon I better go get some times on 8 PSI first, before I go 10 PSI and a not so "fire spitting" rich tune at the end of this month.

Mid to High 8's is what I'm hoping for. I ran Flat 9's on the clutch that was slipping remember (the ClutchMasters Stage 1, that I destroyed). Come to find out, I was also running like 35+ PSI levels in my DR's during the run. I have since then lowered them to 20 PSI (i believe, will have to check them again). And now running the ZPI Red Disk clutch.

Did I ever show you the pic of the clutch after that night at the 1/8th track....

Check it out, I wasn't making it up by saying it was slipping the whole time I was racing. And managed flat 9's:

I have no idea how mine is holding up so good, I launch the car wayyyy too much.

I guess it's the lack of power?

Well guys...I feel victim to the ScionLife curse (where if you announce something ahead of time, it usually falls through). I had to wait on my girls kid brother to get out of the football game(band member), and then we had to take his g/f to her house to change clothes. Needless to say, we didn't arrive to the track until it was elimination rounds. I got ONE....ONE Run in, and missed 2nd gear, therefore loosing, therefore being eliminated. No more runs. I paid to have 1 freaking run...and I choked it. My girls kid brother is my camera man. I brought the camera, BUT NOT THE BATTERIES! I took them out to charge them, and left them in the charger...

I will be going to the "Ghetto" track tonight. It's not even a 1/8th mile track. Probably half that, and it's cone to cone racing. No times, No nothing. You just go on green. I will remember to bring the camera WITH batteries this time at least though.
