Why on earth would you think you could beat that car? Wake up, goto a track and see what your trap speed is.. It's not going to be anything near that unless you up the boost alot.
Maybe if you actually went to a track and posted some videos of you trapping in the 106-108mph range then I wouldn't call BS..

ummm why are you so stuck on quarter mile times???/ I think its pretty obvious and has been acknowledged by damn near every TC owner that our cars traction in first and second gear hurt us in the quarter. Hence a roll on would elimnate the sloppy take off... but please if you must continue hating as you were...

I said I'm ADDING it to the list of kills. And for your info, I have raced one. Was not a heads up race, as the GTO started from Behind me, down shifted, and did a ricer flyby. I didn't punch it till he got a car head start. I hit boost after he had already passed me...GUESS WHAT, IT DID NOT PULL ME.......
On top of that, I was leaking boost, which makes it even worse....
I had another Brand new GTO trying to race me when we were coming back from the track. I had 2 other people + a set of tires in the back. He still had the temp tags on his car, and was doing a bunch of ricer fly-bys. And by looking at his acceleration, I could take him. I didn't race him because of all the extra weight though, but my fingers were so twitching to put him in the exhaust stream of the tC.
PS...DoubleJ, when you get a turbo on your car, then you can have room to talk. Until then, STFU! God haven't you ever heard of "don't hate the player, hate the game".

Indeed, and when your on boost, 1st gear is null-and-void. I have to NOT hit boost in 1st gear, so I don't bog in 2nd. If I hit boost in first, I bog 2nd, and then 3rd it picks back up and I'm good from there out.
If I do NOT hit boost in 1st, and short shift it, I can catch all of 2nd, hammer it, and boost pours on smooth.
PS...ditto on the hateraid going on...

I've trapped 73mph in the 1/8th on a 10.4 run.. And I've trapped 73mph on a 9.8 run.. It has nothing to do with traction problems.

Power to Weight ratio comes in handy sometimes when you are battling the cars that have more hp than you. For example, the Trailblazer SS comes with a 6.0L V8 from the Corrvette. 395hp/400ftlbs makes for one sick a SUV. I did a 40 roll with one of those, and it stayed with me all through 3rd gear. When I shifted to 4th, I started walking away from it. 20 Mins later, the same Trailblazer SS raced a Cobra (non-supercharged) that night, and walked the Cobra.
I have yet to touch the boost from the time Kenny delivered her to us. 0.6 bar (8ish PSI) is what the PSI was set to in ALL of the vids I have ever posted. I have done a dyno, but there were problems with the dyno machine being able to read the RPM's of the vehicle, so our #'s were inconclusive. I have always said though, that dnyo's are overrated. It's about what you can DO with the power you have, not how MUCH power you have.
News flash: The GTO has the engine exact engine that is in the trailblazer and is about 600-700lbs. lighter..
The trailblazer stayed with you alll the way through 3rd like you said, so you don't think a car that is 600lbs. lighter with the same engine and better gearing wouldn't beat you bad?

Stupid, it has everything to do with traction. The MORE traction you have, the better your ET is, but the slower your TRAP is. Wheel spin will cause a higher TRAP, but slower ET.....
