Default Becareful when dealing with purchaseing form SL members

a couple months ago i sent a member on this forum $100 to reserve his lip kit that he was selling until i could get my next check (i had to manage bills) and he said yea sure no problem send me the deposit and the rest when you get it and ill send the lip kit once i receive all of the funds.

makes sense right?

well **** hit the fan and i had to get a new clutch, so i appologized to the member and asked NICELY (at first) for a refund on my deposit (got no reply for quite a bit of time).

well almost 3 months later i still dont have my money and i approached him again and he told me that he had already sent me the deposite back and that i was being an a$$ and trying to get another 100 out of him! WTF! are you serious so then i went crazy and started taking screne shots of my paypal funds that i have recieved and well what do you know in the PAST YEAR i have recieved not a single friggen penny from him. go figure and how he is being childish and isnt responding to me anymore. what a peice of ****.

btw his forum name is: HiimSHON and i dont recommend doing busniess with this guy for as long as he lives.

and im going to put this link in my sig untill i get my money back in nice big bold words just so as many people see this as possible. and it will show up in all 8535 posts of mine, and guess what my post count just keeps growing.

So HiimSHON please give me my money back. and DONT give me some BULLSH!T EXCUSE THAT YOU ALREADY GAVE IT BACK TO ME BECAUSE YOU DIDNT!

nope its cus hes a b!tch and wants to rip me off. i did a paypal dispute before but i was promised my money back so me being stupid and trusting i closed the dispute and found out later i cant reopen a dispute once it gets "resolved" i even emailed paypal directly to see if i can get it overrided. nope paypal sucks just as much as hiimshon.

he told me that he sent me my money back and that i was an a$$ for trying to get another 100 from him what a tool.

well before the dispute was about somethin else (before i had to drop 700 on a new clutch) i thought he was selling just the front and rears because i saw someone post that they already got the sides and they didnt fit, and i tried to get my money back then he told me it was the full kit so i saw w/e and closed the dispute.

then he ignores me for another month or so and i ask for my money back because of the clutch and bam here i am out 100 bucks because some pr!ck...

Before making purchases online, make sure that

1. The thing you are buying is so cheap, readily available, or un-important that you can live without it, and your money if the deal goes bad.

2. Shipping costs are reasonable for the size, weight, and time needed for delivery

3. If neither of the above applies, make sure you know this person's real name, address, and what they look like so you can beat them down if you need to. Or, if you'd rather take legal actions, sue them.

isn't a deposit normally to hold an item showing that you have a commitment to buy it, if you don't buy the item you normally lose the deposit since the seller could have lost out on another buyer while holding it for you.

Man that dispute was the only leverage you had. I did an arrangement like this with a guy on another forum except I left him with almost $400. Normally I wouldn't do this but he was a very reputable member, I did business with him before, and he owns a shop in NJ. I knew that if I got ripped off it would hurt his reputation much more than my wallet. In the end I backed out of the deal and he refunded my money and all went well. Bottom line, plan like you're going to get screwed and put yourself in the seller's shoes.

If he told you that you would get your deposit back thats a totally different story and I believe he is in the wrong. I do believe that what i said though was on topic.

If you call them you can get them to do things they may not normally do online. I had an issue once and couldn't get it resolved through their online options but was able to when I called them
