Default Headlight Armor Shop experiences

Im here to tell you about my shop experience from Headlightarmor.com.

I ordered 05-06 tC Smoked Taillight & Smoked Mirror Turn Signal Kit from their company.

I took this to a tint shop to get it installed, after 1-2 hours of following the instructions the guy gave up and told me that it wasnt cut right to fit the tailight. I didnt give up right there and then, i took it to another shop were a close friend of mines ordered the same set up for his Scion TC and it came out perfect on his. Well after i took it to this shop the guy told me the same exact thing.

When i got home i sent an e-mail to headlightarmor to explain my situation, after 5-6 e-mails sent back and forward, all they did is give me this run around on how they cant guarantee any shops installation, and i told them a few times not to guarantee their installation but guarantee me their products as they much advertise it on their website. It all came to an end that they are not gonna replace the defective product they sent me for the same one.

All in all i wont ever ever buy again from this company nor would i recommend it to anyone.

I know alot of you had good experiences with them and no problems, but i guess i was one of those 1 in a million !

Beware: to those buying from this company, if you end up with the same problem as i did, you will get the same answer i did...

This is my shopping experience with Headlightarmor.

Sorry to hear about your unpleasant experience. I ordered their covers too. Mine weren't exactly cut perfect either. I had to 'play' with the first headlight cover to get it on. (Had to let it dry a little, then pull the film to cover the headlight.) After I learned that trick, the second cover went on without a hitch. BTW-I am not a professional installer. Total install time: 45 mins. I hate to say it, but mine turned just fine. I'm suprised they didn't just send you a new one? Not trying to put you down, but maybe we don't know the entire story?

No that story quite explains it all. I dont know why they dont want to exchange it, ive had similar experiences with other companies just blaiming it on something then to exchange the product. So that hole "the custmer is always right" is BS to me LOL

But oh well ____ happens huh !

There was no 'run around'. Your problem was with the shop you brought them to, not us. It is unrealistic to think that we would guarantee the work of another shop. If you take it to a shop and pay them to install something, then they are obviously responsible for their labor. Any shop that spends 2 hours doing this has no idea what they are doing, simple as that.

We have a full DIY posted on our site here - http://headlightarmor.com/index.asp?...on=Custom&ID=9

The photo tutorial probably took our installer all of 15 minutes including taking the pictures. The tC tails are nowhere near the hardest kit we have to install. Out of the 1100+ applications they are somewhere mid-pack.

You are correct, if you take them to a shop and they fubar them we are not going to keep sending free replacements out till they get it right.

The shops are telling me that the productt wasnt cut to fit perfect from one end of the tailight to the other end. And this is what i was told by 2 shops. Apparently it is called a run around because you dont want to guarantee me your product for not having a perfect fit. This is the worst customer service that i have received in my whole life, Other appreciated companies would please the customer and help them instead of stepping on them and give them all this BS that your giving me.

My Shopping experience with you guys will pass on to other Scion TC owners, and you have already lost a customer. Thank you for your horrible business.

I am sorry to hear about your bad experience. I have ordered from these guys about 3 times, and every single product has been perfect. I am in an unbiased situation, and feel that the shop that you took it to messed up the product. I had problems installing the taillight covers on a 300c, and realized that it was my own fault, and made no attempt to get a refund from the seller. These guys have GREAT customer service, great products, and will help you with any question that you may have during the process.

Again, sorry for your bad experience, but I dont want one bad experience to hurt a business owner that is willing to join the Scion community, and offer great discouts on unique products to anyone who wants it.

Have a good day.
