This isn't really hid "help" and kind of belongs in buyer/seller experiences.

 

colors over 6k isnt a waste..8k and 10k you can see perectly fine but its blue thats all....its different then everyone else most people have 6k but people like me im crazy we want 10k different and like the color output

 

i had 10k its a waste lumens go down after 6k and go down by alot jus bc it has color in it and is darker in color doesnt mean that its brighter. i had 12,10 and 8k there jus darker in color i have 6k now and its better then they were i had 5k at one point and they were amazing. anything over 6k is a waste

 

check this page and read the chart. u can tell by the lights on there that 5/6k are brighter theres even a disclaimer saying 5-6k is better

we all know the 5 and 6k are the best......yes the higher the temp the less lumens..if you have 8 or 10k for a few months then you go down to 6k its like night and day cause your not use of it........i first had 6k it was nice then i got bored of it wanted more color so i got the 10k i can see perfectly fine its bright but probably not as clear...i go back and forth i have all the colors....you just cant have one..it also depends on who you buy your kits from there are cheap knock off that are not bright at all and others are...mine are very bright i wouldnt go higher then 10k maybe 15k purple but not higher then that
