Why is a relay needed? Isn't this a PNP kit?
Relay give an extra layer of protection. Some of the faulty made HID kits on the market would draw more power and fried the electrical wires. Having a relay will prevent that from happening and if it does fry the wires it's only the relay that gets damaged.
We have tested our HID kits and it won't fry the electrical wires. The only time we suggest relay is only if the car it's over 15 years old and some American cars requires it to over pass the electrical system.

So with this Kit it doesn't need the relay and should never fry the wiring? What IF it did happen? would you guys be responsible for this?

Also since 05-07 models don't have projector headlights like the 08+ how is the cut off lighting on both non projector and projector for the tC? Any pictures to compare the tC projectors and non projectors with this Plug and Play kit?

just buy a relay. non HID equipped cars should always use one. you dont know how many countless people i know who just ran a kit without a relay and a few months or a year later their HIDs stopped working.

That's a good question, our warranty only covers our HID kit it does not cover anything else. We have installed and tested on Scion cars without an issue.
If you are worried I would suggest you to add on a relay. A relay give a consistent 12V power to the ballasts.

I just received mine today, a bit late ... but not HIDEXTRA's fault, they shipped VERY fast to the East coast.

Anyways on the review.

Install was a breeze, I didn't install the relay as I am not sure that it is need at this point, but I have it just in case I run into any issues. Included was the following:

- Two H11 6000K bulbs
- Two 35W plug-n-play ballasts
- Two OEM connectors
- Two super strong sticky pads for mounting

The kit looks great, came packaged quite well. Install took approximately 15 minutes in total from start to finish. I mounted my ballasts in different places than the rest, I tried a couple different places, I will post pics later tonight. I purchased the 6000K kit as I wanted just slightly cooler than stock, but I was presently surprised at how blue crystal it really is. Perhaps because I am used to stock, but these look PHENOMENAL!

Build quality looks great. Installing the ballasts was not hard, and I actually didn't mind using sticky pads as opposed to going through the trouble of mounting. Just be sure to find a level surface and clean it well before installing the ballast.

So far a great experience! Pictures to come. Thanks again for all your help Michelle.

Hello,

4300 is a Stock color temperature, we carry 5000K which is the closest to the 4300K.

What is your YR MAKE MODEL and I can double check the bulb type for you, thanks~

Hi,

Your bulb type is below

2008 SCION TC (With projector-type headlamps)
Low beam headlamp
H11
High beam headlamp
9005

If you want HID for both low and high beam, you will need to get two kits. But you can still get $15off each if you order them in separate transaction and use the coupon code: scionsp-w

What color would you like? I can get you the link tomorrow.
Thanks!

Hi,

Our 8000K is white with light blue tint. what you can do it use 8000K for your low beam H11 and 6000K for your high beam so you'll see better when you use the highs.

Here are the links

2008 SCION TC (With projector-type headlamps)
Low beam headlamp H11

High beam headlamp 9005

Let me know if you anything else.
Thanks!

Hi,

H4 relay harness comes with the kit, and you only need one, if you are talking about the special wire (capacitor) then it comes in pairs for both sides.
But relay's only come in one. Thanks!

HI Cameron, You forgot to input the coupon code, but I've requested a $15 refund for you since you are from scionlife.com. Thanks!
