Angry horrible experience with truviethug. What would you do?

So, I purchased non extended muteki lugsand Injen SRI (CAI missing the SRI piece) from Truviethug on 03/01/2011. Total was $130 shipped, he wanted me to send it gift and I sent it regular paypal.

The lugs were explained as:
lugs arn't torn up but they do have fading from being taken in and out.

Intake described as:
its in good condition no dents of any sort just regular usage.

He said he would ship it 12Mar11 but than no response. he said he would ship it Monday 14Mar11 Priority Mail.

He ended up shipping them USPS slow mail which when I called USPS about the tracking, it takes 8-9 days from day shipped to receive. I received it today 26Mar11. Knowing I was paying for regular mail and than getting it hella slow mail would have effected the sale, I paid for a reasonable amount of time for shipping.

Half way through he let me know the filter was dirty so he threw it away without sending it. I would have liked to know it wasn't coming with a filter anymore, that would have affected the sale.

The SRI has small dents underneath the MAF.
The lugnuts, well yah I'll let the pictures for the lugs speak for themselves.

So what would you do? Partial refund, Full refund, My fault, any other options? I'll pull out the dslr later on to get better pics.

Did you buy this stuff without pictures? As far as the lugs go.. yeah.. they are pretty faded and missing paint.. And the intake has dents.. but thats not going to affect a whole lot.. buyer beware and pictures for next time.. I'd ask for a partial refund for the shipping as well as the missing filter..

I did, he has feedback and never had a problem. I understand a big part is wanting to get it quick since it went confirmed to my moms house and I go home once a month. The intake, I shined it up and so it's fine. I think partial refund for filter. I'm not that concerned with the filter, it's the lug nuts that are torn up, they look worse than the ones I am trying to replace.

Is it right to ask for $50 for the price of a new injen filter(price via amazon) or partial amount.
I payed 30 shipped for the lugs, I am definitely asking for $40 (original 30 plus 10 to ship back)

i told you that the intake was a sri which means there's no extra cold air pipe so to say it was missing is incorrect. i also told you that they are red non extended lugs so there's barely any paint on the lugs and i would assume anyone else whos taken these type of lug nuts out a couple times have their lugs looking like this. If you asked me for pics i would have sent them. no need to start a thread it's not like im trying to scam anyone. i've done numerous deals and never had a problem. I guess when selling something without a pic its a whole different story and as for shipping i specifically told usps priority so thats a mistake on my end that i didnt double check.

I know its a sri, i stated that it was an sri not a cai.

You told me the lugs were not torn up, What would torn up look like.
My definition of faded, when a bright red fades to red or almost pinkish.
Torn up: see above picture of the lug nuts. Paint coming off etc.

I'm asking for $15 for filter which I think is fair, quality of the intake is whatever it's in my engine bay so so be it. Theres dents and knicks all over but i'm not going to be hypercritical.

The lugs, Im asking full refund plus $10 to ship it back with tracking, so 55 total.

Not telling you the filter was thrown out til after the sale and shipped is messed up. Those lugs arent a little faded. They are thrashed. Buyingwithout pics was a bad ideabut still way off on the description.

Hey good job on not sending as a gift! Anyone who asks for it as a gift is trying to scam. Suck it up and deal with the paypal fees! Its the price of doing good business!

Hope all gets taken care of!

^Agreed completely on not sending payment as gift. It's a bit of insurance for yourself.

I don't get why you'd throw out the filter for being dirty... are they not able to be cleaned?

Get pics, 'cause it's sometimes tough to trust language- "good condition, regular usage, and arn't torn up"

U know, I learned something today... (Cartman)

mrhat shoulda asked for pics, truviethug coulda been more up front ... it sounds like it's as equitable as can be for the situation.

Sounds like tRuviethug is going to give you what you asked for. So good for him. Also those lugs are useable, any lug that is powder coated will look like that after a few uninstalls and installs.
