Yea we have it on out pricesheet Viet but look who put it on there. He doesnt work there anymore. Chris Allison def won't wanna have techs install lsd. Look at what i had to do to convence them to install the chargers on the tC's. Not worth the effort or liabilty for warranty. Toyota techs replace transmissions, they don't tear them apart. If you want transmission work, I wouldnt bring it to a dealer anyways because they rarely deal with that, they just relace them and send the bad one back for warranty core. P tuning has put in numours LSD's, Fitgeralds, im willing to bet Sap was the first one.

All these shop ****** need to leave. Shops make mistakes, it happens. Wether they man up to it is another issue. I hope everything works out for you.
BTW I beat the ___ out of my supercharged tC and just got a brand new STAGE 4 clutch and 9lbs flywheel installed and my car goes perfectly into reverse with out having to dick around going to first. Ill testify for you if you want man that its not supposed to do what its currently doing.

Well, I can tell you 100% that 5th gear can NOT be installed incorrectly. Here is a photo right from the Toyota Service Manual..

40. INSTALL 5TH GEAR

(a) Coat the 5th gear with gear oil, and install it to the input shaft.

as you can see in the picture, it can only go on one way. If you put it on upside down, it wouldnt touch and you wouldnt have been able to put the case back together. It just slides on the input shaft and meshes.. It cant be installed incorrectly...

that's very good information! So it is determined IMO that installation of the LSD has in no way an effect on the fifth gear.

Other update.. just spoke with tech a minute ago about us doing LSD installs, I was correct about Toyota not doing trans work,.. they rplace and not repair. But if somebody wanted to get their LSD installed we would do it, and it would maintain the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty if they purchased their Scion here. The Labor cost is 960, part is 1350.

So do Toyota dealers really deny installation of the LSD? If so, that blows..I HATE transmissions and was actually going to pay to get one of those installed...

to Chime in on the whole Fitz thing. They have done a few LSD installs and so far mine is working out great. The whole S/C issues was due to the fact that my first seal busted on it and Fitz actually took the time to check it out and let me know and said i need a new one which was all done for free thru factory warranty. I know they one of the nation's top tech there working on things and so far everything I have gotten from them ( whether under warranty or not has turned out great ). Same goes for ptuning, I have never had a problem with them and on certain occasions they have helped me out a whole lot and i think they are a great company to work with. This whole situation is Unique and has to handled on a specific basis so we really cannot know how everything went down, but all i know is this from what you guys are posting it seems like:

Drax got his Lsd installed and then went autoxin and thats when things started to fall apart. lol, that is not tru at all i dont think he covered that in his posts but there was a 500 mile break in period of the clutch and he broke it in as was told by the manufacturer of the clutch, the only 1 time he went autoxin with me is a few months back when im sure he didnt have a LSD

Im sure thats how it goes.

Anywhose yea what a few people are saying its a sucky situation lets just see what happens.

He didnt go auto xing after he got it done, he said it was before hand. Actually depending on what type of clutch there may not have been a break in period. My clutch didnt have one. per the words of the person who made the clutch "go romp it and let me know how it works out for you"

Not all Toyota Dealers just replace the trans as an assembly.

Quality can be more stringently monitored if a unit from the factory is installed. there are many factors that warrant this, warranty cost analysis, cost per repair order, customer satisfaction.

However there are plenty of Toyota Techs at dealers that rebuild transmissions and more, and have access to the proper tools instead of hack work arounds, to ensure the job is done right. And it comes backed with a warranty.

To draxcaliber, hope everything works out in the end.

PTUNING messed up my car too! LOL

The frame where you put the jack stand was worn out/bent and it was not able to hold the jack stand up and so the jack stand fell and scratched my wheel and cracked my side skirts. PTUNING immeditetly overnights me a brand new wheel and is brining my car to the body shop who works on my car to get it fixed.

They did not need to order me another wheel but they went above and beyond to show that they will do anything to satisfy a customer!!!

PTUNING FTW!!!
