Who is Jamasco Race Engineering/Scionspeed?
Please Google™ search Jamasco and then Google™ search our competition! You will be surprised.
Hello all, we wanted to give a brief introduction to those who are interested in the tC turbo kits offered up by www.scionspeeed.com. ScionSpeed is a Jamasco Race Engineering company and part of a conglomerate of businesses which form our corporate profile. In addition to ScionSpeed, other companies under the Jamasco corporate Umbrella include: JMS Motors which imports engines and parts from Japan, Jamasco Auto Repair which is our automotive repair facility, and finally Jamasco Race Engineering which is our automotive performance facility. Although we have been in the industry for a long time and have done work on cars ranging from the typical Honda Civic to Lotus and Ferrari, we were always Toyota specialists. We are known in the Miami scene for doing some of the sickest and cleanest engine swaps. Often times we end up fixing cars that other so-called tuner shops have screwed up. This is because of our extensive experience and our refusal to cut-corners and refusal to use cheap materials. We have even had some of our competitors call us to ask us how to do things properly, although they would never admit that!
How does that apply to the Scion community?
It’s simple, our ScionSpeed line of turbo kits are highly engineered and tested. The facts are there for all to see. We were first in the 14’s, 13’s, and 12’s with a tC. Our kits are the highest quality available. A word of caution: Do not simply buy a turbo kit based on price. A turbo kit is something you want to have trust in. You need performance AND reliability.
We invite you to Google™ Jamasco and see what you find…
You will see pages and pages of hits concerning our work. You will see an established reputation of quality. When we go to shows, we win categories such as “Best Engine.” As a matter of fact, our Scion tC beat out fully done up Toyota Supras to take the best Toyota at Moroso in December 2004. We were also named "Best Scion tC" by Scion Corporate at their Scion Exposed Event in Daytona earlier this year. We have also won the overall Scion class at Hot Import Nights (Hottest Scion). To those of you who know, that is very difficult to do with a performance car in a venue normally concerned with appearance and in-car-entertainment. They simply could not look past the quality and engineering.
We have been published in car magazines. As a matter of fact, look for our Scion in an upcoming popular import magazine. Take a sneak peek at www.dtmusa.com. We have dozens of other project cars. A 2001 Toyota Celica with a 3SGTE swap putting out over 550 WHP, the only one in the world. Countless 3sgte Celicas all putting out over 300+ WHP. An 86 Corolla Gt-S putting out 320hp to the wheels. An AWD Isuzu Impulse putting out 350 WHP, and of course all you guys know of our 2005 SCION tC project putting out over 420 HP to the front wheels, and doing 12.0 to the Ľ mile, again the only one in the world! The list goes on and on. We were even contracted to build custom intercoolers and intercooler piping on many of the Skylines and Evolutions you saw in 2 Fast 2 Furious shot in our backyard in Miami!
Due to extremely high-demand that we did not expect, we have decided to re-open pre-orders. When you look at our prices, please understand that we do not cut corners on quality. Our kits come with parts standard which other kits do not, such as tubular stainless-steel header style manifolds, external wastegates, fully polished components and the list goes on. Additionally, for all new pre-orders we are including a set of TEIN S-Tech springs for all four corners. Thanks to our friends at TEIN for helping to make this possible.
We have also renamed our kits to better reflect their performance! Here is our new pricing schedule:
KILL Kit (260 WHP) 500WHP capable : Down payment- $1600 Pre-Order price- $2850
DESTROY Kit (300 WHP) 500WHP capable : Down payment- $2450 Pre-Order price- $3550
TERMINATE Kit (370 WHP ) 600+WHP capable : Down payment- $3650 Pre-Order price- $5500
All that is required to place an order is the down-payment. The remaining balance must be paid prior to shipping. Remember all pre-order kits will include a set of TEIN S-Tech springs. Order at www.scionspeeed.com. If you wait, you will pay more and miss out on the free springs!

Do you have a break down of all the parts included in each kit? How soon will kits be ready to be shipped out? How about those that already have tein stech...any substitue product for them ..I know it's free but hey it's worth a try.. :D
Damn you folks need to throw the xB and xA people a bone here!
I need some forced induction, but not a fan of super. Maybe you guys could make an xB kit and sponsor a finely done xB from Nebraska
Was that too subtle?

i don't know if any of that has changed. but my question is are the kits not being shipped because they ran out of money for them? (or so the internet rumor has it. we all know how the internet lies to us about countless things)

I spoke with Jayson from Scion Speed today. The kits weren't shipping because the turbo's are custom internals as opposed to standard turbine sizings. Their distributor was lagging with the stock and they have been trying to source a new distributor.
When I spoke to him today.. they said they found a new distributor and the turbo's are due in around Friday. Those that already have pre-orders paid for, the kits will begin to ship a week from this Friday.
Now that the turbo's have been sourced again, they are opening up pre-orders again.

We prefer not to single out any one company. We stand behind our products and reputation over anyone offering Scion tC products, period. We are not the most famous, however our reputation for excellence within the tuning community and our customers speaks for itself.

There are over 70 pieces in our turbo kits. The main parts are a T3/T4 turbo, FMIC, external wastegate, stainless steel header-style manifold, injectors, etc... If you want to know more specific information such as couplings and fittings, by all means send us an email at info@scionspeed.com and we will try to accomodate you.

I assure you we are not selling thin air. Thousands have seen pictures of our kits visibly on our cars and also in videos. Thousands of people have seen our kits installed on several cars in person at the car shows we attend. People have seen us at the track running. Our car has been shot for publications. We are hesitant to show exact pictures of our kits piece-by-piece so as not to encourage duplication. We invited prospective buyers to Google us so that they could get an idea of our previous work and assure them that we have a long history of success and experience with turbocharging Toyota 4 cylinder engines.
This is all over the internet, but just to reaffirm anyone who is unsure...

We also heard that rumor. We were completely shocked to see that. One can only guess the motives behind the spreading of such rumors. However, we did see that another Scionlife member posted this clue in another thread, where we also addressed this issue.

Also, what fuel management are you using for these kits? Reflash? Piggyback? You can have the most expensive and best parts in the world in these kits but they are all useless without proper tuning. I know that tuning is the key to make these kits reliable and efficient. I'm just a little unclear to what method your company has decided to go with.
Stage 1.. non-intercooled at 7psi... making about 230whp...
Stage 2.. intercooled with option to boost 7 or 10 psi to make around 260-285whp
Stage 3.. beef up your internals and hold on
Includes wiring harness to plug in an emanage for tuning. Fuel management hasnt been released yet due to people copying it.

So the actual emanage unit will be sold separately then?

We are impressed by the concern that the Scionlife members have for each other. To answer your question, those who pre-ordered are being taken care of as indicated in the post by Racing solution in this very thread. They are being well-taken care of as a matter-of-fact. We like to take care of our customers as best as possible. We would have liked to get them to these people sooner, however there is one essential part which was holding us up and it was not in our control. Their kits are already manufactured and good-to-go. Once that final part arrives, we will be cooking with fire. Nobody wants to see these beasts on the road more than we do. We have corrected this problem so that it will NEVER happen in the future.
The unique thing about what we have done is that the quality of the mass-produced kits are of equal quality to our one-off kits! Just wait until you see the beefiness and robustness of the parts. Simply amazing.
We are a company that loves turbocharging cars. It's our passion. We appreciate every order in the past and also the ones we received this week.
The many kits that have already been ordered prove that people are seeking the best for their tC's. We look forward to seeing you all boosting around soon!
Regards,
Alexy
We find it very unprofessional that you would insinuate slander against ZPI. We have been nothing short of helpful toward you when you were still in the development stage of your kits. We even offered to build your manifolds for you but our quality products were too high priced and cut into your profit margin. Then when that price was to high we even offered to sell you the plates that you had to plasma cut when you did not have the ability to have them CNC. I am sure that you will try to refute this; we still have the emails between us and your boy Quick who was doing the negotiation on your part.
I think the Scionlife members are a little skeptical about kits that they ordered 5 months ago and they have yet to see anything but pictures of your show car. We would be a bit skeptical too seeing the guy marketing your product seems to have the same history that you are developing. We are not trying to get into a ____ing match with you, but when you come on here and try to talk to ____ we find it a little irritating and childish. We are all trying to develop a high quality product for the Scion community. For you to try to slander us to make your self look better is not anyone we want to do business with, so we are glad that our prices were to high.
I am sure that you will reply to this post with statements about the lack of pictures and details that we have released on our kit, so here are the answers ahead of time. We have not released a public picture simply because we do not have a pretty one. We all agree that your kit is pretty, the question is will the one that the customers get be as pretty. We did not want ot mislead our customers or anyone lese for that matter. We have R&D cars not show cars. Our pipes are bare metal, we changed the manifold design 4 or 5 times, we have changed the intake pipe design etc…. We have not released pictures because we did not want our customers to except one thing and get another. We now have the production kits done and we will release the pics when the pipes get coated. Don’t take this the wrong way we are not insinuating that your kit will not be exactly as pictured but will it?
The Scion Community is a close knit group and we feel that only two turbo kit manufactures should not be going back and forth on each other. Competition is good and our kits are100% different so they will appeal to different type of people. We would like to do a co-sponsored race event with you somewhere between our two shops in the middle of the country so that all of the Scion Community could attend and see our cars and others in action. Maybe Scion life could provide detailed coverage? Let us know

Do you have a response to that? I am in no way trying to further perpetuate any kind of hostility, but I was considerng ordering some parts from either you or ZPI. However, I will, under no cirsumstances, do business with any company that quick/dwayne/tctunerz is a part of. I would appreciate a response to the questions of: is quick associated with your company, and if so, in what manner?
I dont have any knowledge of the relationship between tctunerz and Jamasco. My company, Racing Solution, is a distributor of the Scion Speed turbo's and soon will be a distributor of the ZPI turbo kits (once they are released).
I do not endorse one kit over the other.. I distribute quality products and help out the community by answering questions that I know answers to.
