i used automotive clearcoat. plus after the clear it wont reflect the light in the same way!!! it will be much darker! try it out with a small piece

yeah.. it looks nice. but in person you could tell the difference easily if you are a cf guy.

thinking about clearcoating??? here is a good sample what i was talking about before....



it will loose the shininess and become really dark and even after 4 coat it will still have its pattern / the clear wont cover that so u wont have the deep cf look.


Btw... on this picture u can really see how the pattern looks like and see how is the surface have those grooves/lines



oracal and hexis does not have the grooves on the pattern.

this stuff looks great.
i just put some on my front bumper where i had it blacked out before and it looks 10x better then having the black center and i did my trunk garnish, its pretty easy to work with too, im gonna try tackling my mirror covers too to work on the curves

pics when you get a chance..I was thinking about purchasing some specifically for the mirror covers (they've basically been sunburned out )

davedave post a pic of your garnish please! Did you fill in and smooth the badge indent before covering? Or did you just leave it as is and put the badge back over the vinyl. LMK

i shaved my garnish a while ago (last summer) and the garnish and bumper look great, no pics yet, maybe later
