< < < HID Plug and Play Kits $100 SHIPPED OVERNIGHT
Hey operatic, I know this has probably been answered somewhere in this thread, but 145 pages is a lot to look through, so...
I am looking at your website for a bi-xenon kit for my '07 tC. What bulb size should I be looking for? (9006 doesn't look like an option for bi-xenon)
Would it be better instead of going bi-xenon to just get a seperate set of HIDs for my high-beams? I think that might be the better alternative so that I don't just have wasted space in my headlights.
Final question, the disclaimer for "off-road" use only, I'm assuming that means that these kits are not street legal? Has anyone else here run into issues getting pulled over for having HIDs?
Stupid questions I know, but I appreciate the help!

from what i have read, all hids are illegal if they didnt come with it from the factory. it just depends on how much you stand out, K temp and color, to be noticed by the cops and if they wanna bust you on something that small. its usually the younger ones wanting to make a name for themselves.
I'd assume then, that staying around 4300K and 6000K would be alright?
I'm thinking more about the visibility of it vs. how much I stand out. I live outside of D.C., but at the same time there are a lot of back roads that I take to get to class that are overflowing with an out of control white-tail deer population. It'd be nice to see em coming...
Plus it looks cool
Thanks for the reply,
Ben

yea i got 6k and i dont get noticed at all. i have an 08 with projectors which makes hids look stock. along with my fogs, i can see quite a bit more. the higher the K the lower the visibility, most of the time.
08+ come w/ projectors. not sure on retro-fits prices but doing a quick search came up with this, might point you in the right direction

bump for great hids

As the bi-xenon kits are only for cars that originally had the high and low beam on the same bulb like the first generation xA and xB
Yes, they are not street legal like any other HID kit, but most people do not run into problems unless you're in CA, then you might want to stay in 6000k or under.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask them
