Cliff. Thanks for meeting up with me last week. It took about 30 minutes to install them (drink break). What a great product. What a big difference. Thanks again. I will spread the word.

Default lights are in the house

got mine today - looking to install but needed to know whats the best way to mount the ballast. What's the best locations that you all have found. This is my first set to install so go easy lol. I want to keep the package because it's so well made lol.

Installed mine on saturday.

I mounted my on the bumper supports using double stick tape and big zip ties (bigger than what comes in the pack).

Here is a pic:

I know when you see it you are going to think you can't get the zip ties in there, but if you angle it at the bottom hole on both sides, you can feed it up slowly and grab the other end with some needle nose pliers and pull it out the top hole.

Then lay down some double stick tape on the support, stick the ballast to that and tighten down the zip tie and it is a secure hold and the ballast is close enough to the lights to wire properly and it is away from view and the elements.

here are some other night shots of the light:

Default install

hey mdMiketC that was great advice. I installed mine and here are some of the pics -

I think once I switch to the 08 lights I will get even better output but I have to check on the bulb type.

I just thought about it but do you have to buy another kit if you go up to say a 6k bulb?

well if your kit already plugs into your 9006 plug from the car, you will probably just need to buy the 6000k H11 sized bulbs for the kit but you can always ask just to be sure.

Nice install, glad I could help

thanks and your suggestion was right on point. I was going to mount my ballast right under the light but after someone said to hid them because people were getting their hids stolen I figured lets not make it easy and removied the bumper.

Clifford- im making the move out to AZ today to attend ASU and I was thinking if I get a 6000k kit from you, I could just pick up so no shipping is needed. I think this time I'll stick to the headlights and not the fogs like before!

mdMiketC - what temp did you go with and do you have an 08 tc? You light looks brighter but it could be the camera that I have.
