MobileHID.com - The Best Waterproof HID Conversion kit!
Ok, this is getting pretty old. I have been trying to get a replacement ballast for over a month now and still nothing. I had great response the first time I had to replace it last year and this time I have not really got any help. Last I heard it was being shipped out, weeks ago. I am sure to buy from another company to replace the entire kit to help avoid any more issues.
I just heard from Clifford yesterday in a PM that he is shipping mine out to me. Replacements that is. I asked him if he was 100% out of the business now but didn't get a response. I really don't know who I would go with other than Mobile HID, so I am a little lost. Try sending him an email at his site. I did that and got a much faster response.
nothing happened to him. he and other HID suppliers stopped selling them to the public. to avoid trouble and tattle tailing and the such. HID kits are ok in NC according to the NC DMV state inspection, but some other places say otherwise.
i wish i can get a price on a new 9006 3000K bulb. i feel better if i got something from the same supplier.

You can find the same thing on Ebay if you want. I did Mod Express, but they are different. Do a Google Search for the model number, found on the side of the ballast, and you will find some info.
I have gotten no response back in a month now from them either........they cold at least email back and tell us there is no way to get us replacement warranty parts.....or what happened as to why they are not selling kits anymore......I am not going to do business with them anymore, shame too cause i sent like 20 people their way because of the great customer service and product and warrenty and now I cannot even get a replacement part......lame
Same here. I sent some people there way cause of the great product and service. It's a real shame that Cliff is sort of just ignoring us now and taking forever to respond. It would have been nice to post a message about what is happening instead of having to find out on your own. Seams shady. I'll take business elsewhere.
I heard Cliff left the scene now (see OP), but if you want a new go-to dude for hids etc, hit up meng motorsports in my sig, and he'll help you out. I'm personally running his kits b/c I parted my mobileHID kit out when i was parting my car out, but decided i want, more like need HIDs. The quality of the ballasts and bulbs are def on-par with cliff's kits, and he'll answer all your q's, if he can't he'll go the extra mile to do the research for ya.

sorry to hear that Cliffy.. Best of luck to ya..
I am disappointed with the end result of buying from mobileHID. To all you other mobileHID owners - don't expect much from your warranty.
My original purchase was on Black Friday. I got a set of H11 5000k HID kit with slim digital ballasts. For the first 10 months, everything was great. The install went smoothly, and I had no problems.
One of my ballasts went bad a little over a month ago. Contacting Clifford through the website or this thread was slow at best. Calling seemed to work best. Clifford told me that their shop was unlike other shops who nickel and dime you. He promptly replaced the ballast with a Heavy Duty one. When I installed the ballast, the bulb connected to it wouldn't stop flickering. Pretty soon my other ballast failed. Another call to Clifford and I had a 2nd ballast and wire harness at my doorstep in a little over a week.
I finally installed the set this past weekend, following instructions on the website for the special wire harness, and reading though much of this thread.
After proper installation, both of my bulbs flicker nonstop. After another call to mobileHID, I was told I'm on my own, because 75% of the system had already been replaced. The only point of failure left is the bulbs, and they don't stock automotive bulbs anymore. Cliff told me I'd have to find my own bulbs, and that he wasn't sure if that would fix the problem.
Not sure what I should do now, I have what seems like a brand new system...but it is not working properly. I've double checked all of my wiring (extremely good connection to the battery terminals, ground is on the battery) and nothing seems to help.
I'm not bagging on Clifford or anything here. He did more than enough by replacing the two ballasts. It's just a shame that he can't continue to help me troubleshoot the problem because of what the company is now.
Anyone in the Sacramento area have some H11 bulbs they can let me use for about 10 minutes so that I can test if the problem is in the bulbs before I buy some?

Cllffud, i believe i need a new ballast im not to sure though but my passenger side light isnt working i swap bulbs to make sure it wasnt blown and it works fine in the driver side. so would it be that i just need a new ballast?
has anyone experienced a bulb cracking or breaking in half? Recently my girl's 6000k Pilot HID bulb broke out of no where. I took the bulb out of the headlights and it was broken in half. We had the kit for maybe 20 or more thousand miles. Pilot HID does not have a contact number...pretty sad, but they have an email that said they would respond in 24 hours. I emailed them twice and got no response. I quite disappointed since I am running three Pilot HID kits on all three scions.
hmmm sounds like a bad ballast is a common issue with the mobilehid kit. for anyone needing replacements hidextra.com has replacement ballast for $25 with free shipping. just ordered mine
