I don't think I got the mounting brackets with my ballasts... Are they hiding in the box somewhere?

Hi Jdub- yep, just pick up the tray that held everything in place in the box and you'll see the brackets below the tray.

tcdrummer- 4300k is the same as OEM white. The 4300k can look a little "yellow" during broad day light but only because the sunlight at noon is close to a 5k which is kind of like an LED white. (white with a slight slight tint of blue) - just enough to make it look like LED white.

As far as HID startup, the lights warm up to almost full strength within 12-15 seconds and the final color depends on what color temp you pick up.

solelaced - interesting point you make with the LED bulbs. I haven't had a chance to test them out but I will now! lol.

what color exactly would you consider 30,000k? Because honestly, I don't have a bulb labeled 30k however if you're looking for a pink, purple or a dark blue - yes.

^^^ that doesnt sound too practical IMO

Cliff awesome product. still working awesome too. no hiccups or anything.

hey you might know this. have you noticed the older
acura TL's. their HID systems are starting to turn pink and then after a while they fail. is that bulb or ballast? just wanted to know if i kept my car over 8-10 years what to expect

dam262a - sorry bud, I don't happen to have any purple 9005 kits in stock.

firesquare - yes, as the vehicles that first came out with OEM HID lighting get older, the light output of the factory bulbs decreases tremendously. more often than not, it's just a bulb issue and not the ballast issue.

For example, my dad has a1998 GS400 and on a recent road trip from AZ to CA, he noticed that the light output was comical compared to my 1998 GS300's MobileHID lighting. I gave him pair of D2R bulbs to swap out in his car and the light output so much brighter than his old and tired bulbs.

On your Acura TL, I'm sure there would be a difference as well. What year is yours?

Thanks.

Clifford

dam262 - definitely man.

b Izzle - wow - nice setup man. that turned out great.

firesquare - ah, i thought you had one. oh well, something to put on the wish list.

aag - yep, the new tC and xB and even the 4runner and camry all run projectors now. Toyota is really stepping up their lighting on these new vehicles.

marx - yeah, just give me a call and we'll meet up. 602.300.7153.

Default Not Starting At All.. Can't see

Hi everyone, I'm desperately in need of some help. My mobilehid 5k's been working perfectly for the past 2/3 months I've installed them. All of a sudden today, I switched them on and nothing came on. But when replacing stock bulbs onto sockets, the lights worked. Have any of you ever experienced this?

I noticed some rust on this part, can anyone pls tell me what it is? I promise I took great care to install and maintain this setup, and am very surprised to have witnessed that.

CLIFFORD, anyone, please offer me some support. Don't leave me in the dark, literally.

thanks

I have several spare relays sitting around, just paypal 5 bucks over to sales@mobilehid.com to cover the priority shipping and I'll drop it off in the mail today.

Thanks!

Hi thanks for your replies everyone. So, are you guys almost completely certain that its the relay? I mean, it is clearly rusted out but I just wanna make sure everything else can be ruled out as a possibility.

Sorry, just want to make sure. Clifford I will paypal you later on today, thanks for your help!!
