Just recieved mines last night...I have a question tho...the wire that clips to the harness, when I hear the click and its in the right position the light wont come on, however when I flipped it around it came on BUT it didnt click in, should I be worried?

Also I have the slim ballast one and is the little black box the relay?

 

I had to use an adapter (that came with the kit) to get the kit to work, and it would only work if the polarity was right. It's possible that you're in the same boat

The black box is the ballast. Our kits have no relays...And I still don't know why the old ones do and our don't. Does anyone know what the difference is between the ballasts?

 

The slim ballasts are digital unlike the old style which are analog. These new digital ones draw less power therefore get the power from the stock harness instead of the battery. Therefore no need to have a relay. Also, you must plug the harness in backwords for polarity. Just use electrical tape around it to secure it.

No problem sir. Not only are they digital, but they also provide some good benefits over the old style analog ballasts.

hey I've just had a problem with my hids. So it's 25 degrees outside, I turned my car on and when I went to turn the hids on it didn't come on. Any solutions cliffud? Anyone have this problem before? And yes I bought mines from cliffud not another brand.

 

Did you just install them? Were they working before or not. Check all your connections. Remember the main plug to the OEM harness plugs in backwards (polarity).

 

I've has them since summer. About 6 months. They worked fine until last night.

 

Check your connections and make sure they are all tight and not loose? Battery connection? etc...

 

battery is all tight. It might be the relay. I'll check a little later.

Hey cliff.. i sent you my bad bulbs Dec9th.. i was wondering if had gotten them yet.. they were two 8k H4 bulbs.. i feel lost without my HIDS... please help and let me know
