2006 xB locks going crazy
This has been a problem for a while. I have looked at every thread I could regarding this and never found the right answer. Thankfully, it is WAY SIMPLER than I could have imagined! Turns out that this happens because, wait for it…THE BATTERY IN THE FOB WAS LOOSE!
took me a couple of days to figure it out, but I noticed that if I didn’t have my fob on me, it wasn't happening. So, checked to make sure the battery was good :: it was :: then put it back together. The 1st time it was going crazy, as usual, so I opened it back up and noticed that I hadn't seated the battery correctly. Made sure I did it right and now ZERO LOCK CRAZINESS!
Just did a test run with the battery loose in the fob :: and the locks started doing that crazy jig. Reseated it correctly, no more lock dancing!
So, CHECK THAT FOB. :: and seat the battery properly. Especially if you drop your keys alot! 😉
You’re welcome 🤗
