noobie from rochester, ny
hello my fellow enthusiast my name is kevin siriphanthong and i am from rochester, ny. I just picked up a 09 scion tc and i hate it haha just kidding but i am on this forum to learn more about the platform so i can do my research on finally getting some boost in this sloth of a car.
i had about 13 cars to date [i am only 24] but my all time favorites were my 94 honda civic ex; greddy 15g turbo kit, tial bov, dsm 450cc, greddy emanage, pnp head w/ 3 angle valve job, etc..hey all i can say is not bad for a little over $700 in bolt on and minor machine work i was in the low 13s on 93 pump gas.
next up was my 2004 saturn ion redline; started off with just a smaller 2.8 pulley, 60# siemens injectors, and HP tuned by New Era Performance which dyno'd at 247.3 whp with 93 pump gas on a mustang dyno. I then installed a heat exchanger off a mustang cobra to help with heat soak from the supercharger, upgraded to 80# injectors, went E85, and tuned by Trifecta. All I can say is simply..amazing..didn't get to dyno it on E but the butt dyno was
.
All good things come to a end though and the biggest downfall to all my modded cars and any modded car, which i am sure most of you all know is..THINGS BREAK! With my luck too more than one thing breaks at a time so I traded in the Saturn for my Scion just for reliability reasons. Only had it for under a year and i got bit by the boost bug again and time to throw a snail on her and see what she can do. sorry for the sappy intro but i am at work and shouldn't really be online hah oh well.
Well i hope to learn a bunch more from you guys and maybe ill be able to help the next guy. thanks all for the warm welcome.
