Default 5K Maintence????

Should I have the tires rotated and stuff or just get the oil changed and be done with it.

Toyota wants 70 bucks to do this. Fock that. Thats with the free oil change too.

Another time I'm glad I have paid scheduled maintenance.

You might be OK with just oil for this one - but definitely think of doing the tires at 10k. You could also inspect them yourself beforehand. Look for any unusual wear patterns. If you see anything strange or have any reason to believe your alignment might be out of wack, you should rotate them.

If you can't do it your self just pay the $70 and get it done. They check other things, or should at that mark. It is cheap insurance for those that do not do their own , or don't know how.

$70 to rotate tires, thats slightly high.
but i rec. tire rotations every 5k
either get it done at a dealer, or have a buddy do it.

i just hit 5k and had my oil changed, the service department recommended rotating the tires too, so i did... only charged me 19.95, take it somewhere else that will do it cheaper, but its something you dont want to avoid doing

Cripes. If someone charges more than $20 for rotating tires - go elsewhere!
Even to balance them shouldn't cost that much.

most dealers charge more than $20, so if you can get it for that much, roll with it
unless you know how to do it yourself
