With my windows down while driving close to the curb I can hear a soft ticking on the front right side. Sounds like it might be an early CV Joint sound. Anybody else had any experience with this?

 

i have 12,000 on my xb, and noticed this last week that i have a "chirping" sound coming from my right front wheel. it increases/decreases with speed, my guess was a bearing but it could be the cv. i've got a appointment at the dealership monday, i post the results.

 

IF you have hubcaps, check them!

when I had mine, they would make faint noises too!

 

Cv joints only make a "clicking" noise when turning left or right. If you have hub caps, check them... :D

 

yup, im at 7600 miles and im hearing a clicking when i turn left and right. i'm going to be very very upset if something is wrong with the CV joint.

 

I had this before. When I would drive through drive thrus and stuff I would hear a sound like if there was loose change flying around in my wheels lol. If this is the same sound you are hearing it could be a loose wheel weight. Thats what mine was and the dealer fixed it.
