Anyone else have a slipping clutch?
Here's the details:
'05 xA, 5 speed, 7500 mostly highway miles, totally stock. At about 65 mph and full throttle in 5th gear, the rpms go up a few hundred and then back down. It happens mostly in cold weather (~40 deg. F). It might be happening in other gears, but it's hard to tell.
Anybody else experience this?
Is there any way to test/prove this besides using a dyno?
Plus, is there an adjustment on the clutch? The clutch engages a bit high off the floorboard. I noticed the clutch fluid shares the brake fluid reservoir. Would this mean air bubbles formed in the brake lines could get into the clutch line?
I'm gonna get the manual online and investigate further.

eh... i'd get a lightened one. a backcut can sometimes weaken the flywheel massively. depending on the application. i've heard horror stories. i've had my clutch slip a lil bit too.(4800 miles) not too often tho or too bad. wanna do the trd. but wanna do the 2zz so dunno if it's worth the trd. but if i ever sold the motor the trd could help sell it.

Do tell...
the tranny's are not interchangeable between zz motores and 1nzfe's . the 6spd from a 2zz will fit the 1zz and the 5spd from a 1zz will fit a 2zz. the 6spd tranny is huge and would require massive cutting to fit.
